“What a wonderful place” On behalf of the whole family, six of us, we would like the thank Helen for allowing us the use of her fantastic home and for being so helpful when booking. As a family we have loved Keswick for the last 30 years but in this cul de sac and with the views from the upper lounge we will be back. Keswick and the surrounding area has so much to offer, even our two teenaged granddaughters were pleasantly surprised. The family's highlight of the week was to get within a metre of three red squirrels.

“The perfect weekend getaway from the city” The most wonderfully equipped property that I have ever stayed at. Everything you could ever ask for was available, including a welcome hamper, sound system and hidden pool table which was ideal for us young adults. The weekend away was superb value and we even managed to socialise with out fellow guests over at Blencowe Hall one memorable night. The en-suite bedrooms are all beautifully furnished with stunning views of the surrounding landscape and make for a most comfortable stay. The pub is a short walk down the road which made up for our attempts at cooking. Thank you for an amazing weekend and we'll be back soon!

“Definately a 5* property with all the trimmings” Thank you Christine and Jilly we had a great time at Riverain, everything was 5 star including the welcome hamper. The position 10 minutes from Penrith was perfect for us all, 3 travelled by train from Glasgow, 1 by car from Harrogate and myself from Cheshire all taking 2 hour door to door. We all take turns of booking a 6 monthly girls away trip and have been as far afield as Dubai and last year had 2 trips to lodges at Gleneagles, Riverain was given top marks by us all.Everything we needed was there and ithe kitchen was so well equipped, including nice sharp knives which is usually a problem in holiday homes. We loved the wood burner and how great to have a constant supply of really nice dry logs,. We all agree a great venue and great property we will be back.

“Breath taking views - and that was just inside the cottage!” Our stay was with family, and I had not advised them of our accommodation, so to see their joy at the grandeur of the cottage was a fantastic feeling and a brilliant way to start our holiday. The master bedroom was like something out of a fairy-tale and the other 2 twin rooms were just as masterful in their appearance. The evenings spent in the dining hall chatting about our day’s excursions over dinner was an event in itself, and such a wonderful way to plan the next day’s itinerary – even if it did take several hours and few bottles of wine! It was a memorable say and fantastic value for money that I don’t think can be surpassed. I will and have recommended this to friends, family & work colleagues, they won’t be disappointed. Five Star accommodation, five star booking service and the information received by the management team & Christine prior to our stay was invaluable. A truly amazing experiance that you must try yourself.

“Heaven on Earth” Our stay at Hause Hall Farm and Kruik Barn was out of this world. Everything about the property was of the very highest standard. It was a haven of peace and tranquility and the perfect base for a large group of friends. “Quick visit for mountain biking and beer” Although only a short stay it was a delightful one. The principal reason for the trip was to get out on a good mountain bike ride. Our ride was an all day epic starting from the front door and out over the fells, finishing in the pub in Hesket Newmarket just down the road. It was great to explore fells I've never visited before and a special mention should go to the Old Crown Pub in Hesket Newmarket for its great ale. The accommodation was clean and bright and surprisingly spacious. The cottage is approached up a drive that keeps you nicely away from the road and leads to a paved area which looks like a good spot to eat outside, although we didn't on this stay, preferring to walk back to the pub instead. Living room has a lovely view across the paved area to the trees on the valley side opposite. The cottage had a good sized modern kitchen and bathrooms which looked to have been recently refurbished, comfy bed and nice garden. I intend to visit again with family later this year.

“Wedding of our dreams!!!” There are no words to describe how amazing this property is. We stayed here in May 2015, for 3 days, with 18 relatives to celebrate our wedding. The typical British weather managed to hold off long enough for us to get married in the idyllic setting on the lawn underneath two magnificent trees. Jilly and her girls made sure that our stay was faultless with nothing being too much trouble. All of our guests were mesmerized by the venue each room lovingly restored with great thought and impeccable taste. The photos in each room to illustrate the scale of the restoration was a nice touch. A week to the day since we arrived, my only wish is that we could go back and do it all over again. Thank you to Jilly and Blencowe hall for making my wedding dreams come true.

“Beautiful house in an amazing setting” We spent last weekend at Hause Hall to celebrate my fathers birthday. The house is beautiful with everything that you need provided for. There was a lovely welcome hamper for us on our arrival. The position of the house is great, by Lake Ullswater, with great views of the fells. I will definitely be returning.

“Great location in the centre of Grasmere village” Spacious and well fitted our, quality accommodation, ideal lake district cottage. We booked it for two adults, two teenagers and their Grandmother and it was perfect. Great to be restful after a good long walk, the walk to the tarn is a good start for those our of practice fell walkers too! The local co-op provides a good range of essentials and enough for meals when you,re not eating out. There are a number of good places to eat our, the small and homely bistro being just next door. We managed to see Wordsworth,s house, took a few long (and dry) walks , went to ambleside and Kendal and took a boat ride on Windermere. All in all a great place, great accommodation and a good holiday
