“Not RIGHT on the lake as photos suggest but cozy and spacious cabin with hot tub and close proximity to Big Bear village” This cabin was very comfortable and cozy and really embodied the "cabin feel." The living room was very spacious and had a large TV that provided access to Netflix and other programs (a big plus). The kitchen was very well stocked with a wide array of kitchenware and grilling tools, which really came in handy for the grill right outside. We especially enjoyed the hot tub (spent many hours here), as we stayed in Big Bear in March and it was quite chilly out. The only problem we had with the house was the fact that the pictures were deceptive in making it appear that the cabin was right on the lake, which was not the case. There was a whole house right in front of us and blocked much of our view of the lake, as well as a long fence that made it impossible for us to even access the lake from our area (we had to walk a few hundred feet down the street to the marina to get to the water). Otherwise, the house was incredibly cozy and accommodating and made for a relaxing three-night stay up in the mountains for our Spring Break.

“Amazing!” My family stayed at this house for a week in July. It was great! The house was in a good location, less than a 10 min walk to the beautiful beach. Restaurants and coffee shops were in easy walking distance. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee, tea, and spices. The TV and entertainment unit were amazing, very high tech but easy to use. There was a cute front yard and a nice little back yard with patio furniture and a BBQ. There were bikes to use as well. The owner was amazing! Very easy to get in contact with and very hospitable. He even provided us with a playpen for our son. If we are ever in Long Beach again we would definitely stay here.

“Perfect” Our family stayed here for a weekend in September and thoroughly enjoyed it! We live in Oxnard and needed a place for family visiting from out of town. The Dunes Hideaway was the perfect solution for us! The beach is close and the home is comfortable and clean! There are bikes for adults and toys for children. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms there is space for everyone! Jana has thought of everything you could possibly need and has it waiting for you. She is easy to work with and made the whole process simple, Our family will stay here again and again. The Dunes is set up with everything you need, Just bring yourself and desire for fun or relaxation, it's all close by. A book with menus from nearby restaurants and suggestions for local activities has been compiled by the owner and is a great resource if you choose to go out. The open concept kitchen makes staying at home tempting. A nice deck for BBQ-ing is a great bonus! You will love how easy it is to stay at the Dunes Hideaway!

“Amazing Venue” This is our second stay and we love it! 20 women stayed over the weekend and had an amazing time! The second floor is spacious and the kitchen is the favorite place to hang out! “Found a new home...” Lois and I had all of March at the Seal Beach Guest House and from the moment we arrived it felt like we'd found a new home. It's a cozy, comfortable hideaway where you can see the ocean from the deck, hear it too when the waves are up, sit on the deck with a book or email friends with the wifi. We loved being able to walk everywhere - the down town and the pier are only 5 minutes walk. People are friendly, places to eat are good, there's even a barber who'll give a guy a shave with a blade and give you a beer at the same time...life is good in Seal Beach. Lois is retired and I've got a couple years to go but when the time comes we'd like to winter in Seal Beach. Our stay at the Seal Beach Guest House I can honestly say is probably the nicest vacation we've ever had.
