“Jungle living in a modern loft” I stayed in loft 2 for 3 nights of my honeymoon and it was awesome. The 150" Hdtv only has 1 channel, the ocean channel (ok so it's really a massive open window with amazing views of the atlantic). It was amazing to feel the breeze blow through and if it rains at night, it's like being in the heart of the jungle, except you don't get wet. The rooftop terrace was wonderful and being able to see both the atlantic to the north and Caribbean sea to the south was great. This place is for people who love nature and the out doors but also like some modern conveniences and amazing views. We ate at alex's new restaurant at Hector's by the sea (open for dinner on Sunday and Monday) and were blown away. The setting was incredible, but the food was even better. If you get the chance, take it.

Villa Tres Palmas, Walk to Beach, OceanView
Isla de Vieques house
2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4
“Everything we hoped it would be...” This first floor two bedroom apartment was great and just what we'd hoped it would be for two parents and a teen. It is in great shape and truly felt like a home and not a rental unit. In a safe neighborhood 0.8 miles from Isabelle 2, it is a quick drive or easy walk into town. Isabelle 2 is far more preferable to Esparanza in my mind as it is the main town where there are restaurants, a bank, shops and markets and of course the local people who we found to be warm and helpful. The unit has access to a wonderful private patio/garden beside a patch of banana tress and is surrounded by a privacy wall which allows glimpses of the ocean beyond. We enjoyed sitting there after exploring the island or a day at the beach. Being on a bit of a hill in the Bravo de Boston area allows for great sun and pleasant breezes which we reveled in. There was a place for our rented jeep as well. So of course everyone has concerns about the roosters crowing day and night as did we. Not many want to have roosters directly outside the window. Happily this location did not have "proximate" roosters. Yes, you can hear them, but they are at a distance and I must say we liked having the sounds of distant crowing as part of the Vieques experience. The unit has aC, but it was definitely not needed at this time of the year. The ceiling fans were perfect for our needs. Keeping the screen doors closed will keep out evening/early morning mosquitos which are another part of Vieques life. We were really happy to have the use of portable beach chairs and a beach umbrella provided by the Owner. A nice touch I thought. The owner was very pleasant and provided us with great tips on getting from PR to Vieques. She also gave us great information about the island once we arrived regarding the ins and outs of island life and was able to drop us off at the car rental place when we arrived, and at the ferry when we reluctantly started our return trip. We plan on returning and staying again!

“PuraVida” My Wife and I honeymooned to PuraVida. Our stay was wonderful! Everything that we possibly could have needed was supplied for Us. From towels to beach chairs to coolers, we were very impressed. We went To Vieques with the plan of relaxing and being beach bums. The Island and the home completely allowed us to do so. We visited different beaches everyday, all in very close proximity to PuraVida. Convenient location to the malecon allowed us to walk to dinner and drinks everynight without worry of driving or not feeling safe. PuraVida was clean and well kept, the caretakers did a good job of making us feel at home and answering any questions that we had. My wife and I will definitely be returning to PuraVida with the plan of doing the exact same thing(relaxing) I would highly recommend PuraVida to anyone looking to do the same! The BioBay trip was something that everyone must truly experience, words can't describe what it's like. The fact that Jeff and Michelle provide your stay with the option of a vehicle is what made this trip special...we were able to get around the island at our own leisure. An SUV is a must on the island for some of the beaches roads were quite rough and washed out. The people of Vieques were all very friendly and we didn't have any bad experiences with anyone while we were there. We went out for dinner everynight and went to Duffys more then once! All in all we were happy with dinners at all places we went, thanks to Joe and Mimi the caretakers. They gave us very good direction and recommendations to good times! We will be returning for anniversary trips and can't wait to take our children and family to see what the Island has to experience. Thanks Jeff and Michelle, I have told many people about our stay, and directed them to your very well organized website!!!

“Awesome!!!” The house was set up with not only a beachy vacation type house, but also rings with hominess!! My family was comfortable in a matter of minutes and that is not easy with teenagers and little ones alike. The size was also very good for the 5 of us and we each had our own space especially with the back patio, which was my favorite space. Just like a tropical garden in the resort, but we had it all to ourselves and cooked a couple of amazing dinners outside with some local fish and grocery finds. Definitely check out the fresh fruit stand and the fish market. Listen to Michelle--she is a wealth of information, you just have to keep up with her pace or write a lot down on paper.

Orchid Lane 1 BR House in ESPERANZA:180 steps to Caribbean Beaches/Boardwalk/Restaurants
Isla de Vieques house
1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4
“Good location” This Orchid Lane house was a stone's throw away from the Caribbean. We often got up early and walked to the Malecon with our cup of coffee to watch the sunrise from the dock. The bed was the most comfortable I have experieinced in a rental situation. The kitchen has very little counter space so it is difficult to do your own cooking. The yard was pleasant with lots of plant life, it made you feel private from the street. Lots of roosters crowing at all hours of the night and day and town sounds but this is to be expected if you stay in town. All in all this was a good fit for us.

CASITA ROSITA Large 2 bdrm in ESPERANZA--close to everything
Isla de Vieques house
2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6
“Fabulous home away from home!” We really enjoyed staying at Casita Rosita! The house is decorated in an artistic and comfortable way that was very warm and welcoming. They had everything we needed for the beach: a cooler, towels, beach chairs, an umbrella, stuff for snorkeling. There are ceiling fans in every room of the house and the air conditioning keeps the whole house cool. We could easily walk to the main center of Esperanza, where there are restaurants and bars overlooking the water. There is a small market and bakery just down the street from the house, which was great for grabbing snacks and drinks on the way to the beach. I found it really easy to contact Rosie, the owner of the house and she was very nice to work with. I've already recommended the house to other friends from San Diego who love to visit Vieques and I would definitely stay here again!

“Perfect Vintage Puerto Rican Home !!!” Amarilla Casita was a perfect choice for our vacation to Vieques. The property is lush and spectacular and the house itself is very comfortable. I really enjoyed the feeling of indoor/outdoor living due to the huge front porch and the hammocks, bbq grill and breakfast table (all outdoors). The property sits at the top of the hill and has great views of the mountains and the sea. There's a very convenient bodega just down the hill (5 minute walk) at Mambos. The property felt very safe and was clean and tidy when we arrived. Camarilla Casita is a perfect choice for those brave sould that enjoy living like the locals and like it rough around the edges. The outdoor shower was great as was having laundry services on site. I will def be staying here again on my next trip to Vieques and the price cannot be beat. Buen aprovecho :)

“Unforgettable Trip in Paradise” My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better stay in Vieques. Both the house and the island were amazing! The house was fantastic! It is located right in the heart of everything; dining, shopping, and world class beaches. We absolutely loved the tropical outdoor shower. The house looked like it was decorated by a professional. You can tell that the owners take great pride in the house and it shows. The island is one of the most beautiful places in the world. We walked on the beach for two miles and didn't see one person but amazingly enough saw five wild horses running together on the beach. We have been to beachs all over the world but have never seen anything quite like this. We came on the trip with no expectations but can honestly we had the trip of a lifetime!

Luxury Eco-Friendly Villa with Stunning Pool and View
Isla de Vieques house
3 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms / sleeps 6
“Beautiful Villa with amazing views” The views are spectacular and the villa is very well maintained, comfortable and well equipped with plenty of room for a family with teenagers. All 3 bedrooms have their own full bath and the rooms are large with lots of room to spread out. The indoor/outdoor living was perfect and we loved the large pool, terraces, balconies and very private and quiet location. Great for picture taking. The villa is centrally located with easy access to the beaches on the island. Bravos Boyz were very helpful and the process of check in was smooth and professional. I would definitely recommend Villa Destino and will return!

“a bit of Paradise” A beautiful space and so much for everyone from 3 years old to 73! The pool was the highlight, surrounded by lush greenery, what a treat to wake up to. The two units were very nicely equipped...all the latest in machines, utensils, plates, glasses, etc. And comfy beds. Everything was perfect...great décor and a favorite - the screened cottage was the best. Laura and her husband were right there at the ferry to pick us up and give us a ride to the car rental..giving us hints as to where everything was and from then on it was the best vacation ever. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful spot!

Seaside Vieques: 2 Bedroom Beach House Directly on Ocean, with Private Pool
Isla de Vieques house
2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4
“Loved Seaside!” Seaside is a great place to stay if you're looking for comfort and relaxation. The views are gorgeous and the house is nicely furnished. It is walking distance to restaurants, the grocery, and the ferry, all of which is very convenient. Laura with Bravos Boyz was great and so helpful - she really went above and beyond during my stay. I, personally, really enjoyed the resident cats. They were sweet as can be and I didn't have any problems with them begging or fighting. I think the free-roaming animals are part of the island's charm and the cats and iguanas that stopped by the house are part of it. While the ferry and church were loud, closing the windows shut out all the noise if I didn't want to hear it. Just because I am on vacation doesn't mean that other people's lives need to stop - the ferry still needs to run and people still want to get their worship on. That's one of the things I liked best about this location - it makes you feel part of the community, not just like you're staying at a resort that could be anywhere.

“Beautiful!” The location was perfect. Walk out the door to the beach which was great for snorkling and walking. After spending the day at the many beaches or sights, swimming in the pool was a nice end to the day. Bungalow was stocked with everything we needed. It was an amazing family vacation for our family of 5.

“Great stay” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Casa Luna Llena. The home is spacious, well maintained, completely equipped for cooking (except for the collection of exceedingly dull knives) and beautifully decorated. It is close to great dining and water sports. We would definitely stay there again.

Ocean views and privacy--Casa Estrella awaits!!
Isla de Vieques house
2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4
“Best experience yet!” This was our second trip to Vieques. On our first trip, we loved the island, we didn't love our rental house. Details were overlooked (dripping coffeemaker, no can opener) and everything was worn out. Definitely not the case with Casa Estrella - this house has truly been a labor of love and no detail has been overlooked. We loved staying here. The house is exactly what you need in a beach house, the roof deck was fantastic and the location was great. We have found our base for our annual trek to Vieques. (We have two young kids - 4 and 7- and the house was great for them too.) Highly recommended!!!

Casa Alta, Spacious 2 bedroom house with private balcony
Culebra house
2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6
“Amazing find!” Our stay was absolutely wonderful. This little house on stilts has so much charm and warmth that it really felt like home. We had a BBQ on the patio to make wonderful meals, a large backyard to watch the fascinating wildlife from iguanas to chickens to all sorts of different birds, and hammocks for the lazy mornings. The house was full equipped with everything we needed to cook as well as stocked with towels and fresh linen. The air conditioned rooms help a lot to sleep soundly and also block out the noise of the excited morning roosters. The location is a little off the beaten path but easy to find and travel to the beaches by bike, golf cart or jeep. Town is about a 20 min walk and the nearest grocery about 10 min away. This little house is a real gem and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
