“Fabulous Getaway” We absolutely loved staying at 20 Hawthorne Bank Lane. It was everything we hoped for and more. We loved sitting in the window area that jutted out overlooking the river. We had coffee and breakfast there every morning. We loved having a full size kitchen to prepare meals and snacks. We had 3 nice bathrooms which was excellent. The beds were extremely comfortable also. The location was fabulous for us. We stayed during the festival time in august which was quite noisy in the town. But, the townhouse was in a quiet area and was within walking distance of the bus stop. We walked almost everywhere we went. The townhouse is close to restaurants and shops. It was just the perfect place for our family. We were traveling with a 17 year old and 19 year old. They loved our townhouse as well. I would highly recommend this towh house.

“A brilliantly located flat, close to all that richly detailed and historical Edinburgh has to offer.” Top floor flat. Within steps of shopping, eating, and sightseeing. Can see Calton Hill from the bedroom windows. Arthur's seat and the Royal Palace just blocks away. The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, North Bridge, Princess Street, and Waverly Station are all very close and an easy walk to get to. The washer/dryer unit worked brilliantly! My only complaint would be the huge construction site job that started very early every morning! Very noisy. As the windows in the flat are quite drafty and allowed all that noise in as if they were wide open. Overall, we would definitely rent this flat again when we return to Scotland.

“Fantastic location and lodge” We chose the lodges because the location looked fantastic online and boy did reality match up! The village and surrounding area was breathtaking and the walks excellent. The lodge itself was wonderful, clean, tidy and well equipped. Although with the hotel restaurant down the road we didn't bother cooking all that much!! We were also able to take our dog which was great and I think she enjoyed herself as much as we did. The village has almost no traffic so it was lovely and quiet I am already trying to work out when we can go again. Fantastic place!!!
