Villa Tres Palmas, Walk to Beach, OceanView

“Everything we hoped it would be...” This first floor two bedroom apartment was great and just what we'd hoped it would be for two parents and a teen. It is in great shape and truly felt like a home and not a rental unit. In a safe neighborhood 0.8 miles from Isabelle 2, it is a quick drive or easy walk into town. Isabelle 2 is far more preferable to Esparanza in my mind as it is the main town where there are restaurants, a bank, shops and markets and of course the local people who we found to be warm and helpful. The unit has access to a wonderful private patio/garden beside a patch of banana tress and is surrounded by a privacy wall which allows glimpses of the ocean beyond. We enjoyed sitting there after exploring the island or a day at the beach. Being on a bit of a hill in the Bravo de Boston area allows for great sun and pleasant breezes which we reveled in. There was a place for our rented jeep as well. So of course everyone has concerns about the roosters crowing day and night as did we. Not many want to have roosters directly outside the window. Happily this location did not have "proximate" roosters. Yes, you can hear them, but they are at a distance and I must say we liked having the sounds of distant crowing as part of the Vieques experience. The unit has aC, but it was definitely not needed at this time of the year. The ceiling fans were perfect for our needs. Keeping the screen doors closed will keep out evening/early morning mosquitos which are another part of Vieques life. We were really happy to have the use of portable beach chairs and a beach umbrella provided by the Owner. A nice touch I thought. The owner was very pleasant and provided us with great tips on getting from PR to Vieques. She also gave us great information about the island once we arrived regarding the ins and outs of island life and was able to drop us off at the car rental place when we arrived, and at the ferry when we reluctantly started our return trip. We plan on returning and staying again!

Villa Mirino, Ocean front, Intimate East End Home

East End villa

“Beyond Expectations” I would not stay anywhere else on the island. The house itself is in immaculate condition with huge sliding glass doors in every room allowing for amazing views of the Caribbean from every room. I loved waking up to the breathtaking sunrise every morning and the house's beautiful décor encourages complete relaxation. Whether watching TV, playing Xbox/Playstation or listening to music via the surround sound system, it felt like our every whim was met. The kitchen is stocked with gourmet appliances and cookware which made my ability to create fantastic meals for us easy and fun. When we tired of laying by the pool, the beach was less than a mile away and the Red Hook night life was right down the street. This villa is truly one of the premier locations on the island. I cannot wait for the next trip back

Relax 4 Us at Bolongo Bay ~ USVI

Charlotte Amalie apartment

  • 2 bedrooms

“Excellent property and great destination!” Our stay here was wonderful! We just came back a few weeks ago (Jan 7-14) from our trip and we are ready to book for the next year! We had such a great time: Accommodations - The apartment is very clean and modern. It has nice comfortable beds and lovely décor in every room. The kitchen is stocked with all necessary utensils and appliances. Bathrooms are clean and modern. I loved the cherry wood doors and marble countertops all around. There is a large balcony that you can eat or relax out on. Beach chairs, towels etc. is also provided for you. Beach - you can go downstairs and you are at the Bolongo Bay beach, its lovely, you have all the water sports options that you would find at a typical resort right there. If you walk past the restaurants and the hotel (5 minute walk along the beach), there is a great snorkeling spot past the rocks, very cool! We had a rental car so we also drove (about 15 min) to Smith Bay. This beach is pure heaven! It seems to be mainly visited by locals and is not crowded with perfect white sand and beautiful calm blue waters. Pool - There are a couple of pools that you can use. We used the one by the beach; it had a tap to wash off the sand as well. The pool was nice and clean and the water was pretty warm. Food - Like I mentioned you have everything you need to prepare your food 'at home' if you are on a budget or have specific dietary needs. There are many supermarkets that deliver or you can shop in a warehouse type place (CostUless) or a supermarket (Pueblo) or some local stands that are all around. There are three popular restaurants directly in the Bolongo Bay area so you don't ever have to leave the area if you choose not to: • Iggys - casual burger type place• Mims - fancier place that serves sea food• Lobster Grill - very fancy There is a lot to do on the island and its neighbors, but we have small kids so we took it easy this time and just enjoy the water. Next time we rent this apartment, we will explore the island.

Wooow Experience at Little Taj by the Sea!

St. Thomas villa

  • 5 bedrooms
  • 6 bathrooms
  • sleeps 12

“A DREAM COME TRUE” My stay at the Taj was one of the most memorable vacations.Given the areas relaxed atmosphere, waking up each morning to the blue sea, watching ships go by,followed by a swim on the beach.ST.Thomas with its unique culture was very inviting as I enjoyed the music and dance performances down town each thursday.Restaurants provided meals not to be forgotten served by some of the friendliest people I have come across. Back at the Taj,some evenings were spent dinning outside taking in beautiful sunsets .Outside of St.Thomas I ventured to St.Johns and St.Croix places that added to my appreciation of the Virgin islands as a destination to enjoy the simple and yet important aspects of life.

“Great relaxing weekend” This was a great rental. The service eas excellent including fast and easy communication with the owner as well as the administrator. The place is well kept and very clean. They even had the air conditioner on when we got there. That was a really nice touch! The property really has everything you would need. We equally enjoyed spending time in the dipping pool as well as doing some grilling and eating at the upstairs terrace. The beach is very close by. Overall, I really liked and would definitely go back.

Oceanfront Condo next to Marriott Hotel Condado

San Juan apartment

  • 1 bedroom

“AWESOME EXPERIENCE” My wife and I were looking for the perfect getaway in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We contacted the owner of Apt. 5A Stella Maris Condominium. We were impressed with the ease of booking, the prompt reply from the owner and receiving the keys for entry so quickly after we had finalized the reservation. The condo was as described in the contract, even better. The condo had everything you could possibly need. The kitchen and dining area cabinets were well stocked with dishes, plates, glassware, kitchen utensils, pots and pans, microwave, blender, toaster coffee machine, etc. We had plenty of sheets and towels. We noticed that there was a baby crib, dining chair, playpen and baby stroller in storage. There was a second TV in the bedroom along with WI-FI. The condo is well-maintained with adequate furnishings and decorated with very nice paintings on the walls. The place was neat and clean when we first arrived but the floor got pretty dirty during the course of our stay because we kept the sliding glass windows open for cross-ventilation. The closet is well stocked with mop, broom, wet and dry vacs. We put these items to good use. The twin beds can easily be converted into a king bed. There are two futons in the living room with mattresses in storage behind the wall unit. We found an inflatable bed in one of the large drawers. We did not need the extra sleeping accommodations for this trip but know that we can come back with our two friends on our next trip. We contacted the owner, Paulet, only one time because we noticed a puddle of water on the floor near the refrigerator. She responded immediately by sending a cleaning lady to check out the situation. The lady told us that the refrigerator door was not closed tightly which was the cause of the problem. Paulet offered to reimburse us for tipping this nice lady. The staff and other residents in this building were very friendly and helpful The building janitor helped us with our luggage and offered to take us to the 'Supermax' supermarket and nearby Walmart. We are seasoned travelers and are always concerned about the security in the place we are staying. There are security cameras both inside and outside this Condominium. Each floor is keyed for entry from the elevator and the stairway doors are individually keyed. The building and street is well lighted. The tourist police are visible on Ashford Ave. The municipal police patrol the beach all night long on a four-wheeled buggy. The new CVS on the corner of Ashford and Condado Ave. lights up that area. We always felt safe when we ventured out to dine at one of the restaurants along Ashford Ave. My wife liked the soup at the Fresh Mart (natural food & restaurant) across the street from the Marriott Hotel. Nightlife in the Condado Beach area means a quiet evening with a drink and dinner in one of the many sidewalk eateries and/or dancing to the music of a live band at the Marriott Hotel. There is a 24 hour casino in the Marriott Hotel. If you prefer disco music you will need to take a taxi to the Santurce area of San Juan. We liked to hang out at the beach in the morning and take the bus, at the stop in front of the Marriott Hotel, to Old San Juan in the mid-afternoon. We enjoyed the Forts (El Morro and San Cristobel), the cruise ship area and the Governor's Mansion. We also signed up for a day excursion at the Marriott Hotel to the Rain Forest (El Junque) . On the last two days of our stay we rented a car at Charlie Car Rental to travel to Dorado and Ponce. We were fortunate that this condo has a parking space because it is difficult to find on street parking. We hated to leave after the week was over. There is so much to see and do on this island. We asked the owner if it was possible to check out later because our flight was at 2:00 P.M. She said it was okay because nobody was checking in until the next day. My wife and I travel to France for nine weeks every year to do bicycle touring in the countryside. We plan our own biking excursions and book condos, rooms, and houses along the route. We have had some very good experiences and some very bad experiences booking and dealing with property owners on these trips. This property and property owner rank way up on the top of our list. The location, amenities, proximity to the beach, view, ambiance, restaurants and affordability are incredible. Needless to say we had a wonderful stay in this location of San Juan. We highly recommend this property to other travelers. Kudos to the owner of this vacation retreat. Robert
