“What a wonderful stay” Have never stayed in such a beautiful holiday rental property,(have stayed in many) i speak for me and the party of eight who equally enjoyed the lovely, extremely comfortable house. Private pool, sauna lovely garden and my first experience of the very grand Turkish bath, perfect after a long day visiting the ruins of Ephesus and St Johns Church which was on our doorstep. Alison could not have been more helpful, she even filled the fridge with provisons which we were very grateful for after a long journey and late arrival. The mini bus, airport transfers and advice made our stay even more enjoyable. Selcuk is a very beautiful place with many very interesting things to do and see, the local restuarants were all very good and we enjoyed Pamucak beach very much, the sunset was stunning. I have no trouble what so ever to recommend St Johns House and only wish we can once again enjoy another stay at the house sometime in the future.

“Lovely property in a pretty garden setting” We had five nights at this lovely property in Selcuk. Alison was on hand when we arrived to introduce the property, give us advice on local attractions and provide a warm welcome. She'd even done some shopping for us, based on our advance email. The two bedrooms are most comfortable, a well equipped kitchen, bathroom with washing machine, beautiful pool, pretty garden and some friendly visiting cats. A small disadvantage is the living area which is on the (enclosable) verandah. But you shouldn't be at home too much anyway. There is so much to see in the area. Ephesus, of course, but we also enjoyed driving out to Didyma, Miletus and Priene. Ask alison about the fish restaurant on this trip. Aphrodisias and Pammukale were a longer day out. The town itself is worth exploring. Some good restaurants and the Mosque and the Basilica of St John very good, as well as the Museum. Good property in a great location at a reasonable price.

“Loved Everything about Garden House” We had a fabulous 9 days in Garden House and loved every minute. Selcuk is a great base to explore the ruins, beaches and villages of Western Turkey. The house itself is quiet, very, very comfortable and tastefully appointed. We enjoyed walking through a rose-filled garden and cooling off in a pool surrounded by tropical plants. We loved alison--she was a tremendous resource, advising us on day trips to out of the way places we'd never discover on our own. She also picked us up from the bus and helped us settle in. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the ruins of St. John's basilica.

“Favorite Rental” Out of all of our vacation rentals we have rented, Ionia House was one of our favorites! We didn't want to leave. Alison was so pleasant to work with--she was very prompt with replies about our enquiries, was at the house to greet us upon our arrival, and so easy going about everything! She arranged our airport transfers and our one day car rental for our day trip to Pamukkale, which we highly recommend! Alison is easily accessible with her office right in town. The house itself is fantastic--great location, nice and clean, large bathroom, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen (bottled water cooler was a great benefit as we didn't have to carry home water bottles everyday), great air circulation with the windows open (didn't have to use the aC during our visit), beautiful pool with terraces with a fabulous view. We had a wonderful breakfast every morning outside on the front terrace. Another nice benefit is the washing machine with clothes line that can be put up on the terrace for easy outdoor drying. Another great benefit of the location is the Hotel Rilican across the street--on the evening we arrived we were too tired to go into town and they let us in for dinner (not sure if it is open to the public or just for hotel guests) and on our departure they served us at a specific time to accommodate us. The food was the best we had in Selcuk and the family that owns the hotel couldn't have been nicer and more friendly! Overall we highly recommend Ionia House (loved everything about it) or any of the other rentals managed by alison--she was an absolute delight to work with. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Selcuk, we would definitely rent from alison again!
