“Beautiful accomodation” Beautiful home set in a glorious garden. We even saw a Heron in the garden pond outside one of the bedrooms on two occasions. Ideal location to explore the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. The photographs do not do the home justice as it is much larger than expected. The only thing we least liked was having to carry our cases up the steps but its only on the first and last day so not a big problem.

“Not what it seems” Don't be fooled by the " Oldy worldy " exterior , this is a modern spacious property , with plenty of room for 4 adults .It contains everything you will need for your enjoyable stay . The village of Nateby is small , but welcoming , especially the Nateby Inn , where excellent food and drink is served and the staff go out of their way to help , even including our Rottweiler . ( yes the whole area seems to be dog friendly .) There are plenty of walks locally or you can use the cottage as a base for further afield .Just 10mins walk is Kirby Stephen , where you can find everything you can't get in Nateby. All in all we had a great weeks stay , everything we expected and more . So in the immortal word of arnie "we'll be back !!! "

“A fantastic cottage in a great location” The cottage is warm, spacious and well-presented. It has everything you could possibly need for a great holiday - stunning views, lots of wildlife, a well-equipped kitchen, a comfy bed and one of the best collections of Dvds and books we have come across. What's more, the location is second to none - on one hand you have the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, on the other there is the stunning Lake District. We also found a number of lovely local walks in and around Kirkby Stephen. In short, a walker's paradise! We will be back soon.

“A little piece of paradise!” Rainbow Cottage is in an idyllic spot away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The perfect place to rest. The games room was great for the family, and the layout of the bungalow was good. A welcome gift is always a nice touch and was much appreciated. The only thing it lacked was wi-fi, something that would have been considered a luxury just a few years ago but that is now considered a necessity, especially by the younger generation! All in all though, 5*, we loved it! Thank you.

“Lovely, well kept cottage in the heart of Kirkby Stephen” The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Local map sent to ensure we could get keys. Loads of literature on local events and timetables, and information about the history of the cottage itself. The rooms were lovely and bright and of a good standard of furniture. Unfortunately no Internet access and limited mobile phone access, which is great if you want to escape from everyone :) The Cumbria Classic Coaches are fantastic value and 2 great days out to The Wendsleydale Cheese Factory and Barnard Castle. Thanks for a great stay :)

“fantastic relaxing location” Myself, my husband, our 3 boys and dog stayed at The Old Byre and had a wonderful holiday. The location was perfect and the cottage was a home from home with clear directions and key collection instructions sent prior to stay.
