“Overall. A great cottage.” This was my 2nd trip too the lakes. 25 years was the last one, Was so impressed with the description of cottage and its location. Excellent standard of cottage. Considering it a rental it is decorated as Tho you are staying in a real house rather than a holiday let. Location is great 10 min stroll to bowness with all the usual shops. Winderemere is about the same which is right where the boats are. Overall fantastic place location. I would certainly book this cottage again. Car park 5 min walk but who care you on holiday.

“Fabulous!” A great welcome and the best cottage I've ever stayed in - clean, high quality furniture and fittings, well stocked, warm, cosy, beautiful location, with lots to see and do nearby. Collecting fresh eggs was a highlight of the day.

“Fantastic setting and the cottage was so well equipped - it had” Excellent cottage - would definitely recommend. The owners were there when we arrived and showed us how everything worked which was really helpful. They had even left us a bottle of fizz for NYE. Even in Dec/Jan the cottage was warm and cosy. The kitchen was so well equpped and there were lots of Dvds, books and games for those rainy days. The location was spectacular, quiet and peaceful - you drove down to the mill - so picturesque and the stream was beautiful. Nearby pubs were plentiful within a 5 mile radius.

“everything you could want on your doorstep” Loughrigg View is a spacious, stylish, contemporary, warm apartment slap bang in the heart of ambleside. Why not try Thai, Italian, Indian or traditional pub fayre all within a minutes walk. Better still combine your meal with a trip to the little cinema. You really don't need your car - walks to Troutbeck, Langdale, Grasmere and several classic fells can all be done from the door or you could take the boat trip around the lake. We've stayed at dozens of locations around the lakes but provided you don't mind a little early morning traffic noise and can manage the access stairs, this place has got so much going for it.
