“Great Location - Livable House” Great location in James Bay - walking distance to grocery store, adult beverages, etc. Off street parking is a bonus. Nicely finished and very livable - would walk down to Dallas Road and Beacon Hill Park - great communication with owners. I'd recommend this rental to anyone visiting Victoria who wants some space in a nice, quiet neighbourhood and still be close to downtown.

“Wow your place is such a restful spot” Jeannie, we can't thank you enough for hosting my wife and I recently at Beachwood Cottage. Your place was everything that we could have hoped for and more. It was the perfect nest for us to relax in the sun, breath in the ocean-fresh air, observe the birds and wild life and pick fresh tasty vegetables from your garden for our salad. When we arrived it was clean and as described on the web-site. What a welcoming experience. “A lovely place!” I recently had my parents out for a visit (they live in Toronto( and they stayed in the Oak Queen suite in Tamsin McIntosh's beautiful heritage house on Linden street in Victoria. My parents were delighted by the historic character of the house and the lovely furnishings and comfortable bed. Tamsin was so helpful and accommodating. She really made their stay perfect! My parents plan to stay here again next time they visit. I highly recommend this place.

“This property was fantastic!” My family of five adults recently (July 2012) stayed at this condo just steps from almost everything in downtown Victoria. The apartment is well appointed, and furnished with more daily necessities than many vacation rentals. It was also exceptionally clean. These observations and several conversations with the owners showed that they are clearly interested in the comfort and well-being of their guests. Having to carry or buy dish soap, bathroom tissue, and the like for a stay of a week or less , something we faced in other properties on our trip, is a real turn-off. Thanks again for everything. Our family enthusiastically recommends Heart of Victoria for visitors to that unique city.

“Great Condo” Beautiful condo, clean, well furnished and lots of extras like hair dryer,shampoo, hand soap and hand cream, Laundry soap and dishwasher soap. Lots of towels and linens. It was great having the washer and dryer in the condo especially when we stayed for three weeks. Great location,close to downtown Victoria, only 35 minutes from airport and only 3 minute drive to our sons house to play with our 2 year old grandson, this being the main purpose of our visit.

“The Perfect Getaway!” I cannot say enough about Ron and Judy O’Brien and their beautiful vacation suite. We just returned from spending 10 days in beautiful Victoria. The suite was so comfortable and had everything we could imagine. Ron and Judy met us when we arrived and familiarized us with our accommodations. They were more than happy to give us some tips on what to see and where to visit, they even suggested some local musical talent that we enjoyed very much. Thanks to both Ron and Judy, our visit was effortless. This was our first experience renting privately. We own several time shares and vacation exclusively through them, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Our stay was exceptional. Thank you Ron and Judy. We hope to see you again sometime. “Christmas 2013” What a wonderful Christmas we had in the Robinsons' suite. It had everything we needed to celebrate Christmas including a decorated tree and other seasonal touches (so very thoughtful!). The kitchen has everything and more including an assortment of breakfast items as well as homemade muffins and jam. The unit is cozy and warm despite it being so roomy. We had great sleeps as the bed was very comfy and the nights are quiet. We went in to Victoria often to shop and visit family and found it an easy and quick trip. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality!

First of all, Bo is an incredible host! He is extremely easy to communicate with. I arrived via Clipper and my ferry was late! I had no problem reaching Bo and he assured me that all would be well. When I arrived at the micro suite, I was quite impressed. The place was immaculate, and the views of Parliament and the water were awesome. I loved falling asleep and waking up to these attractions. Availability of full kitchen was very helpful in keeps costs down and increasing the flexibility of our stay. The only down side was the lack of a usable pairing knife. it was hard to efficiently cut vegetables with the supplied serrated knives. Great location and very roomy!

This condo was very centrally located and was a quick jaunt to all the sites you may want to visit. It also had a pub, grocery store and drug store just across the street. The condo was on top of offices, but it was very quiet and had no effect on our stay. We enjoyed the roominess and it pretty much had all we needed in the kitchen. Anniversary to remember!

We had a 12 day stay celebrating our 30th anniversary and it was absolutely wonderful! Anita met us at the property and we instantly felt welcome and 'at home'. The ocean view was AMAZING and the breeze every morning & evening was so refreshing. The house is very clean, nicely decorated and has everything you need. Anita and J.C. went out of their way to give us helpful travel tips, restaurant recommendations and sight seeing options. The location is excellent for access to Victoria and the surrounding areas. Fabulous getaway!

Ron and Judy were fabulous hosts. Their home is immaculate, spacious and very quiet. The front and back yard are meticulously manicured. It was close to all the amenities we needed and is very conveniently located near several scenic walking trails. A wonderful basket of goodies as well a bottle of wine was a lovely welcome touch. We loved having access to their bikes while we were there as well. A separate entrance provided us with privacy and the ability to come and go on our own schedule. Great Building/Suite, Everything We Expected & More

After all the fees & everything we ended up paying just over $260 per night which at first I thought was a bit high but for what you get it's more than reasonable. The suite is big, beautiful, clean, fully stocked kitchen (teas, coffee, condiments, even some grains). We loved the roof top patio/fire pit & was the main reason we booked as our son wanted to roast marshmallows, which we did. We had our 5 & 2yr old with us, we found the suite fairly baby safe, even had a high chair. A playpen & baby gate would make it completely baby friendly but for us it suited our needs for our stay. The location is amazing, secure building, underground parking, beautiful view. The beds were super comfy, 4 TV's throughout, even had some weights upstairs in solarium. Also the caretakers were very friendly/helpful, we were checked in & out accordingly & clear instructions/information were in the suite. Overall my expectations were met & exceeded. … see more
