Gary Cooper Ranch Cabin with Private Fishing

Fish or enjoy your own private swimming hole of the Dearborn River right in the back yards in full view of the deck, watch the deer come up to the house in the early morning, read or play pool. Easy access to the Missouri River by boat, wade or highway, short drive to Cascade and Craig -- with weekend live bands at the takeout. You're in the west ... so stay outside or inside in no humidity, cowboy. Great horseback riding and hiking trails ...Read more

Additional Location Information

Cascade Canyon is in the mild banana belt, with winter temperatures often below the "southern" city of Washington, DC. Mountain ranges protect it from the traditional plains winds, while the West's large acres of national parks keep down the human population in favor of animals and wild life. Be sure to note Tower Rock, where Lewis and Clark viewed their trek and turned around, day trip to Glacier Park or Yellowstone, or Bozeman's Museum of the Rockies for North America's best dinosaurs.

The "blue ribbon" section of the Missouri River is a quarter mile or two houses by boat, you can wade the river, or drive around abut 20 minutes. Cascade, Montana is not as well known as Craig it's sister city, but both are resort, fly fishing towns between Helena and Great Falls.
