Description
This carefully designed and decorated apartment is located in a converted farmhouse halfway between Siena and Florence, a stone's throw from the local towns of Radda and Panzano. Besides two bedrooms, a bathroom, and kitchen, the apartment boasts a spacious living room with a soaring ceiling and big windows. The well-equipped kitchen contains a large fridge and dishwasher, and the apartment also has a washing machine.
The apartment is located in our family home, which has been lovingly restored over the years, and sits surrounded by a garden planted with olive trees, cypresses, many flowering plants as well as an orchard of fruit trees and a medieval 'hortus conclusus.'
Positioned at the edge of the woods, this is a quiet retreat for anyone completing a book and requiring concentration, peace and beautiful views. Plenty of trails start from the house, and with Chianti Classico wine country all around, oenophiles face the embarrassment of riches. While the apartment is best reached by car, a public bus from Florence drops you at the bottom of the hill.
At the bottom of the hill is the renowned restaurant Osteria "Le Panzanelle", which is walking distance from the house. Likewise, from the bottom of our hill departs a bus that will take you directly to the center of Florence. We are located almost exactly half way between Florence (35 km away) and Siena (38 km away).
