Response from the owner Unfortunately, although he came to our house for a 'dram' a couple of times, we were not made aware of some of these concerns at the time. To answer his 6 points: [1] A replacement hoover is in place; [2] Mended;[3] It is now fully working as it had been put on the wrong setting; [4] We have often been complimented on how comfortable the armchairs are, but have now replaced the oldest one with a brand new chair ; [5] Really don't understand this as there are no carpets and the floors are all bespoke wood- the only mats are doormats and are cleaned after every guest; [6] Being checked by the supplier. Nobody has ever mentioned the thickness of the walls before and I am afraid they are standard design and I cannot do anything about this.

Response from the owner We were saddened to receive our first ever 'disappointing' review, but whilst we do not provide food for guests, all basic requirements for kitchen use including clingfilm etc are always in the cottage. We are regularly complimented on the furniture, [a mixture of period and new] but since this review, we have completely re-covered one armchair. We are always pleased at the number of guests who regularly return.

“Ideal cottage for relaxing family holiday”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2018

Excellent base to explore the wonderful area. We have done lots of cottages in Scotland and this is one of the best we have stayed in. Everything you could possible need is in the property. Great space for everyone and you arent on top of each other. Bathrooms / Shower room are great. Plenty out door space. Private and plenty parking. We loved it. Andrew is very helpful and a lovely man. Thanks for a great time. We done Bute, Arran, Loch Lomond, Inveraray, Kames and lots of smaller local, beautiful places.
