“Beautiful Property” The entire staff was terrific. Viviana was super helpful as she was able to make travel arrangements for us to make our stay enjoyable. Stephen was also terrific, he was great during booking and even called to check in with us while we were there. My only regret is not taking Stephen's recommendation to have our cars (Suvs!) delivered directly to the villa. Also, do not get anything but an SUV as a rental, a regular car will not make it up to the villa.

“No one wanted to go home!!!” Wow, first trip to Costa Rica and our family didn't want to leave. Between the accommodations at a very reasonable rate and the adventures that Ronda (manager/owner?) set up, our family truly had a great time. The home was so family oriented. Plenty of rooms, great family room that we would all hang after a full day of beaching it. Guest house was the perfect place to put my in-laws - gave us the space we all needed :). I was debating to give this review, because I really want to keep this place as a secret gem for me and my friends, but my hubby told me I was uncool by doing that. So here I am, want to forget all your worries and be pampered at the same time and leave with some awesome memories, this is the place to stay. Don't forget to bring your camera and plenty of sun tan lotion!!

“Spectacular!!!” Our stay at Hacienda Encantada during the days 21 to 25 July 2013, it was an unforgettable experience. Comfortable, clean and everything you need to have fun with the family. The landscape, the rainy season, and the ambient sounds of birds and animals were elements that made us feel at peace and in communication with nature. Although the way to reach the house was a bit difficult, the same was not reason to stop enjoying all of the wonderful of the place. Talk with Mayquel on the customs and way of life of the inhabitants of the area, it was very interesting. Without a doubt, we would love to return. Thanks Marty.

“Near the Beach = fun!” i had a great time with my stay in Costa rica being right by the beach and having the pool right outside. The pool is gorgeous and always warm for late night swims! I am looking Forward for planning my next trip here!

“Awesome and Totally amazing!” The Condo: This was our first visit to CR and at the risk of sounding very repetitive, I am going to say it anyway. This Condo is absolutely amazing! We were actually taken back by the views, the weather, and beauty of it all. The condo itself is very well maintained. The beds are very nice and excellent to sleep on. there is usually a very nice breeze that can get strong at times so you need to be careful of the bedroom doors. The condo is relatively close to the beach at say 200 to 250 yards. The local terrain is very hilly and as such it us a little bit of a walk uphill when you come back from the beach. Our Garmin and Trackit Maps didn't show Oceanica on any of the categories so you may have to use the resort right across the street to find it as addresses are not used in CR at all. We give this one 5 star rating!!! Well worth the time to visit. Daphne: Daphne was absolutely the best host you could ever ask for! She provided all the information I asked for and needed. She even graciously helped with the car rental (Economy). Daphne is indeed kind and tremendously gracious. Restaurants: We chose to eat at the local restaurants (locals call them Sodas). There are a good number of these within say 5 miles and all are wonderful. Local CR cuisine is amazing and filling. Even though we do not speak Spanish it wasn't that hard to figure out and order food. Ticas and Ticos are wonderful people. We would definitely go back in a heart beat!

“Wow! Complete paradise! Can't wait to go back again... and again” This was our second time to the Lattice House and it was even more spectacular than the first time. Besides the house and property being absolutely gorgeous, the people are amazing (especially the house host, Ana!) and the wildlife and nature is second to none. Wether staying at the house or going on excursions, I can't imagine anyone not enjoying and living up every second. This time, the "lawn" and surrounding area was cleared out more and trails were marked. We headed down to the waterfall but beware, it is a little bit of a hike but completely worth it! We picked fruit from the orchard for fruit bowls for breakfast and spent as much time as we could in the infinity pool. Highly recommend waking up early with the howler monkeys in the morning. The animals are super active at this time and we even saw a family of wild boars on property. So awesome. Ana, the house host was the best. She was always readily accessible and answered all our questions and gave us the best recommendations. This is the best vacation we have ever been on (twice!) and can't wait to go back next year.

“Wow! You'll love the Red Sunset!” Are you looking for a luxury guesthouse near Lake Arenal and Arenal Volcano? If so, look no further and book yourself into the Red Sunset. My husband and I, along with six friends, spent a week in March there. We are so glad we did! We found the accommodations to be everything they were advertised and more. The views are amazing and the house, pool house and grounds will give you plenty of opportunities to relax and explore. While the guesthouse is excellent, the very best feature is the owner/operator Patrick. Patrick met with us each day to help us plan activities and make reservations with the best tour operators. His local knowledge and recommendations were spot on each day, and his help was invaluable. The breakfast provided each morning was a highlight unto itself. Come prepared to eat well – you won’t be disappointed. We’ve never had meals of this quality at similar style lodgings. We also took advantage of the optional evening Chef services. While there were several great places to eat in the Lake Arenal area, all of which were recommended to us by Patrick, you won’t beat the meals prepared by Patrick and his wife. Our favorite was the Chicken Parmesan – sorry, Mom, but it was the best we’ve had anywhere! The Red Sunset was the perfect place for our Costa Rica vacation. We arrived as guests and soon felt like family. We’re glad we chose the Red Sunset!

“Over the top Hospitality and Care!” My husband and I made the decision to visit Light of Dawn after our daughter's awesome honeymoon and wedding experience at Light of Dawn 3 years prior to our stay. This is a completely worry-free travel experience because Deborah and Pete attend to your every need. From your transportation, food, and excursions, your hosts gladly advise and accommodate whatever you desire. You will feel like family with Edgar, your chef, Clara, your housekeeper, Deborah and Pete, your hosts as you enjoy the lush beauty of Costa Rica. My husband even cooked with Edgar during our stay, fun! We did the zip-line, river rafting, sunset sail, and the Vanilla plantation tours and loved them all. The people of Costa Rica are so humble, kind, and joyful. They love sharing their culture with you. Enjoy!

“Perfect Getaway” What an amazing stay we had at Casa Bella. Arriving to the house we were greeted with warm friendly smiles from owners Meghan and her husband Josue. They made us feel so welcome and relaxed immediately. The landscape around the house was beautiful and everything seemed to fit right where it was supposed to. As we walked in the house I noticed immediately how fresh and clean it felt. The room was very comfortable, fresh, and cozy. Exactly what we were looking for. My favorite part of the house was the deck that overlooked beautiful trees. The nature watching is impeccable. I would've of sat on the deck all day everyday if my boyfriend let me. I had a fresh cocktail in my hand constantly and we saw all types of monkeys swing by: Howlers, Capuchin (my favorite) and even squirrel monkeys! Lots of colorful, stunning birds too. The walk to the beach was easy and worth it. Thank God we got the surf lessons for my boyfriend...he really needed it. The staff was so friendly and patient with him. We also did the package where Josue cooked for us. The food had a great presentation and was so flavorful. This experience in the OSa and at Casa Bella was priceless. We were so comfortable, every need taken care of with a smile, and beautiful scenery to top it off. We couldn't have been happier with Casa Bella; great price, amazing service and absolutely stunning. We look forward to our next visit at Casa Bella. Pura Vida

“nice, clean and spacious!” we booked casa alemendro on-line with greg the owner and were very pleased with the apartment. it was much bigger than i expected and very tastefully decorated. the kitchen was open and well stocked for our group. the location is perfect, just a block from the beach and within walking distance to zwart cafe and ginger, two great breakfast spots. we enjoyed many nights on the patio and saw monkeys, birds and squirrels right from the table. i would highly recommend this accommodation and thanks to greg for his hospitality. hopefully we will be back!

“Unforgettable views and experience” We arrived back in the States on early Monday morning, and our regular work and family routine immediately slapped us in the face. What a harsh reality check after our amazing Costa Rican vacation! We had a fantastic time in Guanacaste, and Cass Fiesta was everything we imagined it would be - and a little bit more. The views were indescribably gorgeous. I would have been content to sit on the upper deck or poolside all day long and watch the sunshine and clouds change throughout the day. Casa Fiesta was such an incredibly relaxing setting. The house itself is beautiful and well-stocked with everything needed to enjoy an extended stay. It feels like a remote and exotic location, but the beach, groceries, and restaurants were only a 5-10 minute drive down the mountain. The pool was a refreshing respite from the afternoon sun, and the hilltop temperatures were very comfortable - especially in the evening while enjoying sunset and twilight. The howler monkey calls and exotic bird fly-bys in the morning were enjoyed immensely on the deck while sipping coffee. Simply amazing. Casa Fiesta also benefits tremendously from Diego and Jennifer's presence. We especially enjoyed Jennifer's meal (arguably the best we had all week!) and Diego's sage advice. Diego also took us whitewater rafting on very short notice and arranged everything. We couldn't have done it without him. As our vacation transitioned to other locations in Guanacaste, I found myself missing the scenic view from Casa Fiesta and wished we could have spent the entire duration on the seaside mountaintop overlooking Portrero. Thanks again for accommodating us, and we look forward to planning our next Costa Rican journey at some point in the not-too-distant future.

“A spectacular vacation” Our vacation to Costa Rica was made special, indeed spectacular, thanks to the efforts of the people at Costa Rica Star Villas. Mar-a-Villa was luxurious, and provided our group of ten not only a wonderful "home away from home" but only a convenient base from which we could take advantage of all that Costa Rica has to offer - from scuba diving to deep sea fishing to zip-lining to river rafting and beyond. Costa Rica Star Villas provided us our own private concierge, driver, maid and chef - all of whom worked very hard to make us comfortable and all of whom contributed to our outstanding experience in Costa Rica.

“An awesome, peaceful hideaway!” I discovered Finca Paraiso at B&B.com; and made reservations for Oct 2011. I usually rent a vehicle so the drive of about 30 minutes was not only interesting but exciting as well. The roads in CR are not well marked and are somewhat bumpy with a fair share of potholes. For the directionally challenged, the innkeeper might consider meeting the guests at the airport as an escort or taxi. On arrival, I was overwhelmed by the inspiring beauty of the property. The views are stunning. The grounds are superbly manicured and provide vast space for exploring and enjoying the peace and solitude of nature. There were hundreds of different plants, flowers, and trees. There is even a trout pond with waterfall. And, there is a mountain stream with many waterfalls that can be traversed. The inn has an indoor heated pool with a steam room too! As if all this isn't enough, my jaw dropped when I entered the suite. It was a villa with the space of three hotel rooms. The refrigerator was stocked with juice, bread, cheese, jam/jelly, and other foods. There was a fine bottle of wine as a welcome gift. It included a fireplace, living area, whirlpool tub, oversized queen bed, ample closet space and a bathroom with a large shower. There was television with DVD and cable service. Wired internet was also a feature. The room included a terrace with a table for enjoying meals outdoors. But the best part were the windows that surrounded the suite affording beautiful views of the mountains and valleys. I enjoyed time soaking in the quiet which allowed precious rejuvenation, physically, mentally, and spiritually. The innkeeper and his wife were very helpful in suggesting places to go and also in providing directions. They also provide a complimentary dinner of rainbow trout from the pond. A very delicious meal. I highly recommend Finca Paraiso. It will be my getaway of choice when visiting CR in the future. Pura Vida!

“Truly Amazing property!” There are no words to describe how wonderful it was to wake up to the magnificent views at Casa Espanola. The concierge and staff at my vacation Costa Rica were very attentive to all our needs. We were there for my girlfriend's bachelorette party and we were a group of 15! From the beginning, geralyn and Amy did a great job planning out our trip. I was very anxious about how the trip was going to turn out because i had never been to Costa Rica, but they were always so prompt with responding to my emails and executing all that was promised. Geralyn set up all of our excursions ahead of time. She even scheduled massages at the property! You won't want to leave this place! The pictures do not do it justice! It is even more beautiful in person. We posted photos on instagram with the hashtag #casaespanola so that you can see some photos from our experience. There were 4 floors and each had an ocean view! It was refreshing being able to wake up to that every morning! Every day, the cleaning staff came and cleaned up the property thoroughly, so the house was so nice every time we got back from our daily outing. Oh and our private chef, Chef Harold, was amazing!!!! He and his wife are so nice and the food is delicious! They have a menu on site and they will cook anything you request as long as they can get the ingredients. I would recommend Costa Rican cuisine because it is really yummy. All you have to pay for is the cost of food. And it is definitely worth it! The beaches are close by and easy to get to. The cost of transportation is about $1.75 per person each way. We had breakfast at Cafe Milagro. Their food is really good and the coffee drinks are deelish! You must see Manuel Antonio park. It is about a 20 minute stroll through the park where you see cute monkeys and other exotic animals. Once you get to the end of the park, you get to Manuel Antonio beach which is totally worth it! We had a blast. We also went to playa biesanz which is nice and private. Our trip was at the beginning of rainy season (May 28th-June 1st). I was really anxious about the weather because of the weather reports. I will say this: please disregard what you see on your weather app. It said that it was 100% precipitation and that it would be cloudy and raining every day. The weather was amazing pretty much all day. It would get cloudy in the late evening and it did rain a couple nights, but Costa Rica is so amazing that it didn't even bother us. Especially since we stayed at casa Española. I forgot to mention that they even provide you with 2 cell phones in case you need to get in touch with your concierge! How amazing is that? You can use the phone to make any local calls. So after the first couple days, i was able to call my own taxi lol I’m sure some of the other girls will post a review so you can definitely see how happy we were with our experience! Stay here! “Dream Wedding Come True: Stunning, Unique, Tranquil, Exciting, Inviting” I was fortunate enough to have my wedding in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, and even more extremely fortunate to have it at PDV. I never imagined I would get to have an adventurous beach/jungle wedding, yet get to be in such luxury and tranquility at the same time. PDV allowed me and my guests to feel like we were set directly in nature with the most fabulous connection to beach and jungle, yet get to feel so comfortable, pampered and taken care of by the fabulous staff and amazing accommodations.
