Description
With stunning sea views across the Forth to May Isle, The Nuttings is one of five homely cottages in a terraced row. Just 5 minutes walk to Crail and The Cow Shed wedding venue and with a private secure garden, The Nuttings is perfect for families, pet owners and wedding guests. There is also a shared children's play area and small football pitch. Enjoy a stroll around the picturesque village and harbour (one of the most photographed harbours in Britain) and visit the well known Crail Pottery, cafes and shops. Crail is ideally placed to enjoy all the villages in the East Neuk of Fife and Fife Coastal Path with St Andrews and it's famous university, golf courses and beaches only a 15 minute drive away.
Please note that the walk to The Cow Shed is on a farm track so a torch and comfy shoes may be needed.

Master bathroom with shower over bath and WC
2 twin bedrooms (cannot be altered)
Private fully enclosed garden with outstanding sea views over to May Isle, perfect for pets and small children

“Extremely poor standard of accommodation...”
Stayed here the weekend prior to Christmas whilst attending a wedding at the nearby Cowshed. This row of cottages I believe is linked to the venue as recommended accommodation. It is dreadful!!! Th… More

Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are really sorry to hear you felt The Nuttings cottage was not up to standard and we do appreciate your feedback and bringing these issues to our attention. We wish you had informed us of these issues during your stay as we would have been able to rectify them to ensure your stay would have been a pleasant and warm one. We are on call 24/7 to solve any issues that may arise and have our own in house maintenance team. To address the points you have raised, we understand that the condition of the track as a result of weather over the winter period can fluctuate dependant on how wet it has been, however this is sadly something we have limited control over. We do advise anyone booking for Cow Shed weddings that the cottages are located a short walk away down a farm track and this track is also used by the working farm for access. In regards to pricing, we try to be as competitive as possible and ensure we are priced to the standard of the property. Our minimum booking requirement is 3 nights which works out at £175 per couple for 3 nights – or £29.15 per person each night. We do let the cottages to holiday guests as well as wedding guests and our booking conditions and payments are the same for either use. In terms of cleanliness of the property. The properties are deep cleaned at the start of each season and cleaned thoroughly before each stay. We pride ourselves on the quality of our cleaning so this will be raised with our head cleaner and looked in to asap. Once again thank you for leaving your review.

Response from the manager Many thanks for taking the time to leave this review and provide some feedback after your stay. It certainly helps us to improve and make necessary changes for future guests. Unfortunately, being located on farmland, grain dust and flies can be inevitable but unpleasant inside so will be more mindful of this. Will also speak to the farmer with regards to the speeding cars and early morning loud noises. Thank you again for your feedback and glad to hear that the cottage was well appointed and the views were enjoyable, we certainly agree! Kingask Team

“CHARMING HOME FROM HOME”
The cottage itself was charming . Clean, spaciuos and well equipped. Ideal location to explore further afield along the coast, and handily placed for Craill itself which had a selection of quality restaurants and bars. Beautiful scenery a few minutes walk away and stunning views from the garden . Pet friendly .Would go again without hesitation .
