Description from owner

Description

Situated right beside the sea, Craobh Haven Cottages combine the warmth and comfort of home with wonderful, unspoilt views of many West Coast islands from Jura to Mull. Ideal for a quiet New Year/Hogmanay getaway.

Traditionally built for local character and charm, our cottage has timber beams and an open fireplace built with local stone. It is fitted and furnished to an award-winning standard throughout, and is cleaned and cared for every week by the owners.

The open-plan downstairs has a west-facing sitting area with comfy chairs, open fire, digital TV, DVD/video, CD/cassette player, telephone and WiFi. The kitchen and dining area is to the rear. In the kitchen we provide high quality crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and cooking utensils. There is also a dishwasher, electric oven and hob, large fridge/freezer, microwave oven, kettle, food processor, toaster, filter coffee machine, washing machine and tumble drier.

Upstairs has a master bedroom with 5ft bed, fitted wash basin and generous storage. The twin bedded room has views to the rear and all the beds are fitted with electric blankets. The bathroom has been recently refitted with new bath and electric shower, and also has a wash basin and a WC. Bath and hand towels, duvets with covers, sheets and pillowcases, tea towels and hairdryers are all provided. A cot (without linen) and highchair are available if required.

The cottage has electric panel heaters in every room. All electricity, and coal for the open fire, is provided at no extra cost. Well behaved pets are welcome, subject to certain conditions.

The small, friendly village of Craobh Haven (pronounced 'croove', after the Gaelic for a small tree or shrub) lies between Oban and Lochgilphead just north of Ardfern and has many things to do locally including boat trips, horse riding, bird and sealife spotting and spectacular walks.
