Response from the owner Thank you, yes Castlefield is "cosy" with a reasonable sized lounge , kitchen and shower room but bedrooms are compact with standard double beds, wardrobe and beside cabinets. The rooms and doorways don't, unfortunately suit wheel chair users but for ambulant guests who need everything on one level and parking immediately outside its a good option. Summerhouse in back garden has one step and garden is all gravelled with borders and tubs. If guests need specific advice about any of our StayinCupar properties please contact me, Liana, direct so I can advise which may suit or even suggest other local accommodations that have more facilities/ chair friendly room/hoists/wet rooms to ensure all guests have a great stay.

Response from the owner Thank you. Castlefield Cosy Cottage is a good location, overlooking towards the park and river, immediately adjacent to FREE public parking and free on street parking immediately outside. Lidl supermarket and train station is just a few minutes walk and town centre about 8 mins. The rear garden get sun for most of the day and is sheltered, although the summerhouse makes a good rainy day option. Thank you for you comments about cleanliness, I try to maintain high standards that I would want if staying away. See you again soon.

“This is a really comfortable and convenient place to stay.”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2019

The cottage is conveniently located to the centre of Cupar and not too far from rail and bus connections. The cottage itself is clean and well equipped. The owner has thought of everything possible to make one's stay comfortable and she is really helpful and has a wonderful attention to detail. There is ample free parking close by and even though the cottage is near to the centre, it was remarkably quiet . There are supermarkets and a park just ten minutes walk away and Cupar has some nice places to eat and it is a convenient place to stay if you are visiting St. Andrews and area. The photograph does not do justice to this cottage: it is bright and nicely decorated inside and there is a little enclosed garden to the rear of the property. This was nice for me because I have two small dogs and it was good to be able to sit outside and the garden felt very private and not overlooked.I would be happy to stay in this property again. P.S. The cottage has a washing machine, iron, hairdryer if those things are useful for you !
