Description
Fern Lodge is a beautiful log cabin full of character and charm and provides a true log cabin experience. It is situated on its own 1/4 acre plot in a peaceful woodland setting by a babbling burn, approximately 150 yards from the shore of Loch Awe with a Scandinavian wood fired hot tub.
This cabin with a log fired Scandinavian hot tub consists of open plan Lounge, dining area & kitchen, double bedroom, triple bunk room (double bed with single bunk) and family shower room. The lounge and dining area has a high vaulted ceiling and is mainly glazed to maximise the view over the garden and stream.
There is smart TV, sofa, easy chairs, dining table and a lovely wood burning stove. The French windows opening onto a raised veranda overlooking the babbling burn (stream).
The kitchen area is well equipped, with cooker, full size fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and all necessary utensils, crockery & cutlery.Shower room is tastefully finished and has electric shower, wash basin, toilet and shaver point
The cabin is very private and is adjacent to an open meadow area, where children can play safely.The cabin is timber lined throughout, double glazed, highly insulated, well heated and suitable for year round use. It provides a balance of tradition and comfort while maintaining the character, charm & feel of a true log cabin in the woods.Whether you require a base from which to explore Argyll and the west coast, simply enjoy the local area or just relax and be at one with nature our log cabin provides the perfect location.

We trust potential guests will read all our reviews and make a judgment by comparing this review with all our other more representative reviews. For anyone interested lightbulbs do occasionally fail (this is why shops sell replacements) and when they do reach the end of their lifespan, normally unannounced by the light bulb, we replace them as soon as physically possible which in this case was the same day
