Description
Gorgeous grade II listed cottage in the heart of Dolgellau, Snowdonia. Cosy and characterful with thick stone walls and exposed beams, the house was originally three cottages, which have been tastefully renovated into a single home.
Llys Cadwen is a detached house in a peaceful location overlooking the river and just a 2 minute walk to the centre of the charming market town of Dolgellau with its cafes, pubs and restaurants.
This 18th century cottage has a beautiful courtyard garden and a separate rear garden. The ground-floor kitchen is well equipped, with a range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Also on the ground floor, there is a dining room with a sitting area and gas stove, and a comfortable lounge with a wood burning stove, smart TV and DVD player.
There are 2 staircases: one leads to the master bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom and a bedroom with bunk beds and an en-suite bathroom. The second staircase leads up from the lounge to another double bedroom with an en-suite shower room.
There is a cellar with a utility area that has a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer as well as plenty of space for coats and boots. This is the place to store your wine - with room for more than 150 bottles!
There is secure storage for bikes and other outdoor gear in the 'smithy' (a 4th stone cottage that hasn't yet been renovated).
There is free wifi at the house, and a travel cot and high chair if you need them.

“Delightful stay”
This is a delightful cottage. Situated perfectly for the pretty and friendly town of Dolgellau. It’s conversion from 3 small Cottages allows plenty of privacy for sharing couples. It has Every amenity and a games room too. I just wish we were there longer as the area is stunning and and I would love to have seen more. Great directions and instructions from the owner made everything easy

“New Year 3 day break”
Excellent location, walking distance to all local amenities, shops, restaurants etc., All description of cottage amenities were perfect. Spotlessly clean, excellent games room, (which got quite competitive (ladies versus men) Cottage extremely welcoming and warm, has everything you could need. Liz & Gavin helped us with any questions before arrival we had, with extremely prompt replies. All the local people that we met were extremely friendly and helpful regarding walks, routes, places to visit etc., Charming small local church is well worth a visit. (Especially as we visited Christmas & New Year) Will certainly book again if staying in this area.
