Getting around

Tired of driving? the train station in the village is served by the famous Conwy Line and connects with the Ffestiniogg Steam Railway then on to Porthmadog for the Welsh Highland Railway and Cambrian Coastal line. In season, the Snowdonia Sherpa bus service makes A to B walks possible and resolves parking problems.

Interaction with guest

I can usually be contacted by phone or email. I am happy to provide further information about the cottage and the local area. I have a lovely new housekeeper who lives locally as well as a gardener/maintenance man who can help when things go wrong. Their contact details are available on the guest information sheet. There is a welcome pack containing milk, butter, coffee, tea and bread/cake from the local bakery.

“Bliss”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2022

Great, not so little, Welsh cottage. Seven of us booked in for four nights, had a great time. Cozy cottage vibe, but enough room so that it never felt cramped. Everything you could want for a relaxing getaway, no TV policy was the icing on the cake, perfect. Stunning views of Snowdonia & Dolwyddelan Castle was well worth a visit even though interior is still closed to public. Trains are within easy walking distance, but be warned go on first train as last trains back in either direction, are afternoon rather than evening. Village pub is handy for a pint, good selection reasonable prices, but sadly not serving food anymore.
