Description

The Bearitage at Brooks Lake is located in the Shoshone National Forest right beside Brooks Lake Creek on the Continental Divide. It is perfectly situated as a great base camp for day trips to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks as well as Jackson Hole (all about 1 hour away - much of which is through national forest with stunning views and wildlife along the way). The quaint, cowboy town of Dubois is located only 20 miles to the east and offers unparalleled fishing on the Wind River. The meadows, creek and forests surrounding the cabin are frequented by moose, elk, mule deer, black bears and grizzlies as well as huge snowshoe hares. The cabin is accessible by snowmobile, snow shoes or cross country skis only during the winter, snowy months which makes for a great adventure should you wish to give it a try! The summers months are beautiful and filled with wildlife passing through. The Bearitage is only available to guests 4 weeks per year and it fills fast with repeat guests so give us a call or email if you're interested in knowing more.

4wd vehicles are suggested. Bring your own atvs/horses/snowmobiles or rent some and enjoy the 600+ miles of trails along the Continental Divide.

The owners live in Dubois and operate Wind River Property Group, LLC. Our primary home is only 20 minutes away on top of Union Pass. We give guests privacy but welcome visits to our office on historic Main Street in downtown Dubois. We're located next to the Rustic Pine Tavern/Steakhouse on the BIG curve in town. Look for the town park with bronze horse statues on Main Street - find them and you'll find us:)
