Description
This is a gorgeous Georgian apartment in the heart of Edinburgh's laid back West End, situated less than 5 minutes walk from Princes' Street. The flat is beautifully decorated and is packed full of Scottish fabrics, original Scottish paintings and drawings, warm colours and heaps of personality. It's a great base from which to explore Edinburgh on foot, and once you're worn out from a great day of shopping or sightseeing there's a fab kitchen in the apartment and a wood burning stove for a cosy night in. For the more energetic just dump the shopping bags, get the 'glad rags' on and walk a few hundred yards to some of the best bars and restaurants that Edinburgh has to offer. After a few nights here you're almost guaranteed to feel Scottish and you certainly won't want to leave!

“Lovely quiet apartment in the heart of Edinburgh”
This is a lovely apartment in a quiet cobbled street in the West End of Edinburgh, five minutes walk away from all the hustle and bustle of Princes Street, the Castle and beyond. We were up for the festival which was understandably quieter than usual, but still busy and great fun. The apartment was well equipped and communication with the owners was good. ( thanks for the welcome pack!) There is a pub directly below which does excellent food and we had virtually no noise from the pub at all other than when we were in it! The apartment is on the top floor up some concrete steps that are a bit worn in places, but once inside it is fine. There is a Sainsbury’s five minutes walk away and a great Italian restaurant again five minutes away on Shandwick Place next to the Fox and Faun. There is a small book in the property on walks in Edinburgh- we made good use of that and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting, especially the Water of Leith walk which takes you on a tranquil amble up to the Dean Cemetery which is next to the National Museum of Modern Art (free) with the collections of Miro, Picasso, Dali and so on. We will definitely book again ( if they will have us back!)
