Welcome to our amazing 5th floor penthouse offering everything for a fun-filled holiday or relaxing business trip. Stylish decor, open plan living / dining room and kitchen, balcony with amazing 180° views over Edinburgh city centre from Calton Hill all the way across the water to Fife, a luxury double bedroom, beautiful bathroom with bath, shower and toilet and double pull-out daybed in the 2nd sleeping area. Free WiFi, free parking behind the building. You will love it!

Getting around

Parking and transport: Free on-street parking is available in the area around this apartment and there is free parking behind the building on a first-come-first-serve basis. Easter Road is well-served by frequent bus services including the number 300 Airport Shuttle bus! A taxi from the city centre costs between £5-10. The apartment is around 20 mins walk to both Waverley train station and the bus station, both of which are also reachable by direct bus services. The nr. 100 Airport bus departs at regular intervals from Waverley bridge.

Interaction with guest

You will have the whole apartment to yourselves. There is a key pad on the door that gives access to the 5th floor and there is only 1 other apartment on this floor. You have a private balcony to enjoy the great views over Edinburgh and beyond. • Coming in through the apartment door you will find yourself in the extra bedroom, with a fold-out day bed. From there you can access the bedroom, bathroom, and living room/kitchen. Where possible we will meet you in person on arrival, tell you everything you need to know about the apartment and answer any questions you may have. During your stay we are only a phone call or message away!

Response from the owner As this is a self-catering apartment, not a hotel, things like “cream for your coffee” are not included. We do have several very good shops nearby where our guests can buy their food and supplies. We always try and meet guests on arrival, but as we don’t live at the apartment we need to know guests estimated arrival times and method of travel. Unfortunately this guest refused to give us those details and then took offence when we told her we had no choice but to leave keys with our key holder nearby. As this guest also left the apartment very dirty with half eaten food all over the apartment we wouldn’t have this guest back anyway.

Response from the owner Hi Nick Thanks for your review. The garage is only accessible for owners who pay a monthly fee for the spaces, as they are limited. As most of our guests would not use it (there being free parking on site at the back of the building) we do not have a subscription for it and it is therefore also not listed as an amenity in our advert. The front door having a knack to it is something we have reported to the factor but unfortunately they don’t seem to see the urgency to get it fixed. So we will have to do with it for now and just explain to guests how it works. Having a big TV is expected nowadays and guests would definitely complain if we had a smaller one!
