Description from owner
Description
Casa Felice is a fabulous place to relax, this apartment is at the edge of the Borgo furthest from the road. Designed in a traditional style incorporating a range of modern comforts and facilities, the apartment is the best of both worlds. Stone tiled floors with chestnut beams overhead give a smart but homely feel.
It is on the ground floor with one tiny step into the front door and no further steps internally, so very accessible for those less able, or those managing small children, pushchairs etc. There is an open-plan kitchen and living room with access through double doors to the terrace. Also features large comfortable beds, and a small bath with shower fittings.
The sun hits the terrace for breakfast and again later for dinner, but the building shades it during the midday heat -perfect!
Outside chairs and tables are provided.
The apartment is directly above the underground car park - with loading access to the front door.
This is a family holiday home and does have 'homely' extras such as tea, coffee, sugar, plus cooking oil, spices etc, as well as soap and bathroom supplies. We expect our guests to use what they need and please replace anything that runs out during their stay.
Further details
We have found the multinational fellow users of the Borgo to be quiet, friendly and helpful – after all, they are also there to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere that the climate and environment inspire. Most times there are only a few apartments occupied - you may be swimming on your own!
This is a marvelous place to experience! So many delightful sights and experiences... you won't want to leave...
Please bring towels for the pool and take care not to get suntan lotion on sheets etc (this causes a problem at the laundry!).
Further details indoors
The traditional Tuscan style cool stone walls, terracotta floors and dark chestnut beams give a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere to the interior of the apartment. The kitchen is well-equipped with full-sized oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and plenty of food storage space. There are large comfortable beds in airy bedrooms. The Borgo is a short stroll up from the village and all it's amenities - shops, cafes, restaurants, banks, post office - even Scooter hire! Our local agent is happy to help with any difficulties or translations.
Further details outdoors
A large half-moon shaped swimming pool is in the centre of the complex overlooking the village, it has an outdoor area with sunbeds to relax and appreciate the panoramic view.Beneath this and accessed via the lift is the lovely, cool gymnasium equipped with a variety of fitness machines, changing rooms and showers. Each apartment has a parking place in the underground garage plus extra outside parking. There is also a free-to-use laundry room close to the apartment.

“Great Location in heart of Tuscany”
We had a lovely stay in Case Felice. Well equipped apartment with fantastic views. The Borgo complex was perfect, we enjoyed a swim most days. The village is about 5 mins walk away with plenty of restaurants and a local co-op. We visited Florence (park on outskirts and got the tram in), Siena (our favourite), Pisa, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano (gets very busy, go early or later in afternoon), Radda and Panzano (recommend MacDarios for an excellent burger!)

“Comfortable new apartment in a traditional style, highly recommended.”
The apartment has a lovely view over the town and the hills beyond. It's an easy walk down into the town centre which has bars, restaurants and a pizza cafe, though it's uphill (and quite steep) all the way back. The region is hilly with fantastic scenery. We only stayed a short while but what we saw of the nearby towns & villages made us book a return visit to investigate more. The apartment was spotless with simple but tasteful decor. The drive from Pisa airport takes about 2 hours, but the exit off the motorway is poorly signposted, so full navigational attention is suggested.
