Description

Curlew cottage is a modern barn conversion decorated and equipped to a high standard and has a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Situated on a friendly working farm in the North York Moors National Park near the village of Goathland and only 8 miles from Whitby. A place of peace and tranquillity set amidst truly breathtaking scenery.

Heating in the cottage is provided by a ground source heat pump, downstairs providing underfloor heating and upstairs by way of radiators. There is also a log burning stove to provide that cosy country feeling.

Inside the cottage you will find complimentary tea, sugar and coffee. We also provide dish cloth, tea towel, kitchen roll, cling film and foil. Upstairs in the shower room there is complimentary shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser, cotton wool, paper handkerchiefs, hand soap, vanity kit, sewing kit and toilet roll. Drainage is by way of a septic tank therefore you will also find nappy bags for the disposal of sanitary wear and body wipes. Not forgetting the little ones we also provide travel cot, high chair, potty, toilet seat and playpen along with toys and building bricks.

“Lovely holiday in a lovely place”

Curlew cottage spotless well equipped in a beautiful setting. We wanted a quiet peaceful holiday and that's what we got. Jacqueline and John couldn't do enough for us made us very welcome. Certainly would recommend

“Wonderful cosy cottage”

This was our 3rd visit to this lovely cottage, Jackie and John are wonderful and always around if needed. The cottage is maintained to high standards and has everything you need to feel like home from home. The cottage is situated on a working farm and is surrounded by lovely walks. Goathland is very near where the steam from the trains can be seen when out walking. The cottage is a great base to visit Whitby, Foss Falls, Robin Hoods Bay and Saltburn and many more. Lots of wildlife to see on your walks and stunning views. The cottage is very Covid safe with high standards of cleaning on leaving.

“What a gem”

Visited with my daughter and grandson. The cottages are located in a beautiful spot up on the moors far enough off the the beaten track to be quiet and peaceful but still conveniently close enough to everything. Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Sandsend, Dalby Forest, Goathland, North Yorkshire Railway are all easily accessible. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Perfect for all ages.

“Perfect”

Spent 4 days at Greenland farm and can't recommend it highly enough. If you want to be away from it all this is the perfect spot. The cottage is located on a small farm in the middle of the Yorkshire moors. The cottage was immaculately clean, which is so reassuring in the present climate, and had everything you could need. Outside was a lawned area with a swing and a slide that my daughter enjoyed playing on. We enjoyed driving past the cows, the sheep and meeting Meg the sheep dog. Whilst we were there we visited Saltburn by the sea, which has a lovely beach and everything you would expect at a traditional seaside resort. Parking was very busy by the beach so had to park on the cliff top which has a very steep path down to the beach. Unfortunately the cliff tram wasn't in operation. Paid a visit to whitby which as usual was packed!- not helpful for social distancing. Thank you Jackie and John for having us, we hope to return in the future.

How do damage deposits work?

If Jacqueline (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
