Description

Lapwing cottage is a modern barn conversion decorated and equipped to a high standard and has a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Situated on a friendly working farm in the North York Moors National Park near the village of Goathland and only 8 miles from Whitby. A place of peace and tranquillity set amidst truly breathtaking scenery.

Heating is by way of a ground source heat pump, the ground floor being underfloor heating and the first floor by radiators. There is also a wood burning stove to provide that cosy country feeling.

Inside the cottage you will find complimentary tea, sugar and coffee we also provide tea towel, dish cloth, cling film and foil. Upstairs in the shower room you will find complimentary shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser, hand soap, vanity kit, sewing kit, cotton wool, paper handkerchiefs and toilet paper. Drainage is by way of a septic tank therefore nappy bags are provided for the disposal of sanitary wear and body wipes. Bed linen and towels also provided. Not forgetting the little ones, there is a high chair, travel cot, potty, toilet seat and playpen, safety gate also toys and building bricks.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Jacqueline (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
