Description from owner

Description

Highly recommended terraced cottage set in an idyllic location in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Right beside the heritage steam railway from Whitby to Pickering. This 2 bedroom cottage has open views of the TV series 'Heartbeat ' countryside as well as the amazing spectacle of the steam locomotive powering up the line. The main bedroom has a pine 4 poster bed. The other room has adult size bunks . The cottage retains much of it's character with beams and a small inglenook fireplace with electric woodburner type fire. The lounge also has dining table with 6 chairs, 2 sofas and flat screen TV/DVD freesat.. There is a large kitchen with all the usual electric appliances. Bathroom is on the first floor.

All linen and electricity included sorry no pets. Sun house, garden furniture and parking space. This quiet rural hamlet is an ideal location for a family holiday, safe for children to play and close to Whitby apart from being a Steam enthusiasts dream.

It is a haven for wildlife and there are numerous walks, some from the back door, across the moors. A folder of suggested routes is provided. Altogether a wonderful place.
