Description

Ideally located, beautifully restored period apartment on 2 floors above coffee shop and hairdressers. A real home from home with all mod cons and all the equipment you could possibly imagine. 120 sq meters on two floors. Total of three bedrooms - two upstairs and another off the living room downstairs with a sofa bed that can also act as a second dining area or study for business guests. Two bathrooms upstairs, both with showers and one with jiacuzzi, and one cloakroom toilet downstairs. Fully equipped kitchen and dining room. Very large comfortable sitting room.

Getting around

Mainline train station - Hamilton West - only a 5 minute walk. Lots of buses too. A car is not necessary unless you want to visit places where public transport is difficult but for major towns it shouldn't be a problem. Taxis are also quite cheap

“Fabulous”

I booked this apartment for visiting family who live in the east end of Glasgow. Travelled with my 4 children. Fantastic location, frequent bus and trains to Glasgow. 15 minutes walk into Hamilton and restaurants and bars nearby. There is a large Sainsburys 5 minutes walk away with a mcDonalds which pleased my children. Hamilton water palace across the road and walking distance to the racecourse where we went to the ladies day. Also nearby is M and D's theme park with Amazonia rainforest, amusement and play area. Perfect for adults and kids alike. The apartment is very well equipped , with tv's, dishwasher, washing machine and jacuzzi bath (which we fought over every night!) We loved all the recessed lighting and the kitchen was fab to cook and drink wine and chat. Will return again next year

Response from the owner Deposits are always returned within max 48 hours of departure but unfortunately in this case, we withdrew the deposit from this guest because they completely wrecked our lovely sofa and refused to accept any responsability. The flat was thoroughly checked before their arrival and there were no damages.

“Home from home, great location”

My husband and I stayed at this property recently and thoroughly enjoyed our week there. The flat is more like a house as it's on two floors and is very light and airy. It was very clean and very well equipped, especially the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable as was the huge sofa in the living room. It was much bigger than expected. We really felt at home there The location is fantastic, so close to shops, station, restauants and bars. We didn't need a car at all. The owners were very helpful and gave us lots of advice, we will certainly be booking again for our next trip to the area.

“CLEAN COSEY COMFORTABLE COME BACK OH YES!”

The flat is in a great location for walking in Hamilton and taking the train or bus into Glasgow from where you can travel all around Scotland. It truly is a home from home, I travelled alone but would intend to return again with my family for a longer stay. Everything was immaculate and I felt cosey and at at home in every room. I particularly liked the raised dinning area, how well equipped the kitchen and dinning area was just beautiful and the log burner for the evenings with a glass of wine and a book smashing !.Having the bedrooms upstairs made you feel that you were in a house rather than a flat . I am from Hamilton and returned to visit family . I would like to have a wee bolt hole here and this flat is exactly the type of bolt hole I would like to have so if the owners ever think of selling I'm definately intersted !!! Thank you for a very lovely cosey comfy stay and I look forward to booking with you again .

Response from the owner Dear Charlotte I am very sorry for what happened but I can assure you that the flat was checked thoroughly before your party arrived and the doors were intact. I would also like to point out that you made no mention of the damage in the various emails between us during your stay, despite our request to report any damages immediately. I do believe however that the damage was caused by another member of your party before you, yourself, arrived as I believe you to be a trustworthy and honest person, otherwise I wouldn't have rented my home to you. I understand your frustration but I do not accept that this should cause you to give us low ratings regarding the cleanliness of our home, the quality of the accommodation or the location. This is totally unfair. All our other guests have always been more than happy.
