This region of Argyll is one of the most stunning areas in Scotland with the sea on the doorstep, mountains and lochs around every corner, Celtic and Viking history in abundance and the most amazing wildlife from otters, minke whales, basking sharks to sea eagles, golden eagles and puffins; All of which are easily accessible from Seil, and being near Oban, the 'Gateway to the Isles' it’s a great base for exploring the inner Hebridean islands, such as Mull, Jura, Islay and Iona.

Whether you're looking for relaxation and rejuvenation or an adventure filled holiday, Seil Holiday Cottages make the perfect self catering accommodation in Argyll.

The cottage is close to Seil Sound, easily accessible from a private pontoon owned by Sealife Adventures- wildlife and whale searching boat trips around the Firth of Lorne and Corryvrecken whirlpool, where guests can enjoy a discount on trips.

“Amazing views amazing cottage!!”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2021

Wow! We fell in love with Atlantic Bay cottage and left very reluctantly. It’s an amazing place with breathtaking views that are everchanging. We hardly had the tv on all week, and lost touch with the world because we couldn’t pull ourselves away from the views. The cottage was lovely and clean and everything was thought of. It was a real home from home. The garden was huge and the children loved charging about on it and playing badminton. We really enjoyed being able to just walk to the end of the garden and onto the rocky beach. The slate and stones are beautiful and we spent hours exploring, rock pooling, kayaking and fishing from there. We even built an oven from the stones snd had a fire and bbq a few times. We saw otters in the mornings on the rocks in front of the house. The trip to Easdale island was lovely and we found it a beautiful and fascinating place. We enjoyed luing and tiree too. The fish and chips at Oban was delicious. We really hope to return to this beautiful place and would highly recommend it. The only small feedback we would give is that it needs more freezer room. When you’re self catering for a week, this would help. Also, a two slice toaster makes breakfast for 8 quite drawn out. These are just minor things though and otherwise, we found the cottage perfect. The bottle of vino on arrival was most welcome too thank you.

“Loved it!”

Very spacious cottage, wonderful situation, loads of history and wildlife and when the sun shines it couldn't get any better. We visited Kilmartin archaeological museum, Arduaine Gardens, Luing & Easdale Islands as well as Oban. When we felt lazy we simply sat in the garden listening to the sea and watching for what wildlife might appear. We did see an otter and others have seen dolphins - magic!
