The restored caboose has many amenities including a kitchenette, deck with a barbecue, beautiful surroundings, DVD player and tv, and a lovely family as hosts. “It's Delightful, It's Delicious, It's De-lovely!” One would think that Cole Porter wrote those lyrics after visiting Ye Olde Manor House! The owners, Karen Fulbright-Anderson and John anderson, are a delightful, warm, welcoming couple. They are so friendly and engaging that you feel at home almost as soon as you arrive. And their home reminds me of an English Country Cottage with the many comfortable seating areas and nooks and crannies expected. There is also a beautiful green lawn with several flowering beds and many lovely spots for sitting. But the piece de resistance of the public areas is the year-round indoor/outdoor pool, with a depth of no more than 5 feet, which makes it perfect for swimmers and non-swimmers (me) alike. First, and most importantly, each guest room has it's own private bath stocked with lovely smelling potions and lotions, big, soft, fluffy bath towels and anything else that you might need. Second, the rooms are lovely. I stayed in the 'Oak Room', which is filled with antique oak furniture and is perfect for one person. There is a chair for reading, a beautiful antique trunk that you can sit on use for your luggage and antique lamps, doilies and trinkets. There were two other guest rooms nearby, but I slept like a baby and never heard anyone else! The breakfast that John and Karen offer negates the need for lunch! You have a choice of Vegan, Vegetarian or the Meat and Dairy eaters breakfast, and everything they prepare is delicious! Finally, there are plenty of other things to do nearby-walking around the Lake, hiking, visiting the quaint Town of Elkhorn, attending concerts and, my favorite, antique fairs!! My long weekend at Ye Olde Manor House was so enjoyable and relaxing that it left me feeling as though I'd spent a week at a spa. Writing about it is making me feel the same way all over again. I can't wait to visit again!!!

“Best family holiday we have had in ages” This is a really lovely place. The pool area and cabana are private and very user friendly. Beach in the morning and sheltered pool area in the afternoon, ideal with 3 teenagers. Bedrooms are spacious and everything works. We didn't bother with a/c just opened the house up and used the ceiling fans. Plenty of living space and room for people to do their own thing if they wanted to. Close to most things but far enough away from noise and crowds. It helps that Maui is absolutely brilliant. Andrew leaves you alone but is readily available to help with any minor issues. The kids said it was the best family holiday they have been on in ages. We agree.

“A wonderful place to build memories” My wife and I recently stayed at the Crown Point beach house with our sons and their families. Spending this special time with our boys and the grand kids was enhanced by this beach house, which came completely equipped with more than we expected. Yvonne and Eric went above and beyond with their generousity. Would I recommend this beach house? Absolutely.

“Wonderful Vacation! Amazing home” What a beautiful home and a lovely neighborhood. I highly recommend hiring a car, there is a lot to see and do locally. We went into the town several times and enjoyed the local restaurants and shops. The highlight of our trip was renting a small boat with local fisherman for the day - he took us to Coronado Island where we snorkeled, beachcombed and sunbathed. A really wonderful experience that I highly recommend. The Loreto Bay community is very friendly, although it is an older crowd - 55+ but we had a fun time, being invited to several impromptu happy hours at local homes and enjoying an open mic night at the local wine bar!! A really wonderful vacation - I will be back again for sure!

“Some patina but well maintained and great location” The property is old (as we knew from the description) but in very good condition. We would suggest to add a water boiler since the antique stove is slow and inconvenient. But this is a minor issue, altogether the property is very nice, spacious, in good condition, we would definitely use it again and recommend it to others. Particularly the pool is just great - large and deep, made for diving.

“Amazing view and location, new property...bonus” We loved the location, view and proximity to town. The third floor was perfect for entertaining, had a great open kitchen which made it enjoyable to cook for the family. It was well appointed with everything you need. It ha 6 bedrooms, 5 1/2 bath, 2 kitchens, bar, play room, TV in every room, a well needed elevator and a garage. The pool was just an added bonus as we really enjoyed going to the beach daily.

“Complete Perfection” The house was perfect, spacious and comfortable. We had a great time as did all of our guests. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the broken blind in the sunroom which unfortunately left a direct line from another houses security light straight to the bed. Easy fix. We loved it and hope to come back next year!

“A Place in the Woods to Dream and Live Your Dream” My mouth dropped when I stepped into artYcottage and was surrounded by so much beauty, creativity and originality. It was endless. Everywhere I looked there were remarkable details that were executed with perfection. Rich colors and varied textures everywhere. Everything handmade from the quilts to the furniture to the faucets and tiling and even the soap! One day it was 80 degrees and I enjoyed reading on a chaise on the deck. Then the very next day it was snowing and I was lucky to be there to enjoy the beauty of nature's softness covering the branches of trees. I stayed in that day by the fire my wonderful host, Tom, built. Tom and his stunning and bubbly wife, Margaret, made me feel at home with their warmth and sensitivity. From now on I will definitely be staying here on my twice yearly trips to ashland!

“A great way to experience New Orleans!” The Love Shack lives up to its name as I fell in love with the property, the hospitality, and New Orleans. I've never rented a property online but the owner put me at ease by taking the time to talk to me over the phone. I had never been to NOLA and it was my birthday. The owner made my stay very special having birthday decorations up when I arrived! The owner also made sure I knew where to go and what to do during my stay. The property was very clean with all the amenities you would expect... When I come back to New Orleans I definitely plan to stay at the love shack again.
