Description

Our 1 bedroom Kihei vacation rental in the heart of South Kihei is in the perfect holiday location; close to beaches, recreational opportunities, shops, services and a variety of dining. It is popular with guests celebrating their wedding, anniversary or honeymoon and provides a great home base for those wishing to experience all Maui has to offer during their Hawaiian getaway.

To the South of us, only 300 yards away isSouth Kihei's biggest and nicest beach: Charlie Young / Kamaole 1. This is where you will be swimming, snorkeling, watching incredible sunsets and going for long walks along the shoreline for miles. There's also Hawaiian Moons health food store, shops and restaurants.

To the west of us less then 300 yards away is Secret beach and lava outcroppings which offer great snorkeling opportunities with plenty of tropical fish, turtles and crustaceans. You can hear the humpbacks singing underwater during whale season (Dec -April)!

To the north of us is cove park (300 yards away). It is the location of the best surf spot in Kihei. Surf lessons are offered here and boards can be rented across the street. Just sit and watch the surfers from Secret beach if you don't fancy going in yourself! Also north of us are more restaurants, nigh clubs, shops, including a 24hr grocery store, Kalama Park: beach volleyball, tennis, basketball, a huge playground and roller skating in an outdoor rink!

So you can see why we are in a perfect location!

The condo complex itself is very eco-friendly: Solar panels produce electricity, Solar hot water panels heat our water, 100% no smoking in the whole complex, fruit trees and herb gardens.

Response from the owner Aloha Mariana, Sorry to hear the bugs were an issue during your stay. Once in awhile, just before the entire complex has it's routine spray and the previous guest was not careful with leaving food out, the ants find a way in. Looks like this was the scenario you were in and I sincerely appologize for this. Regarding the age of the building, the big construction boom in Kihei was in the 70s and most of the condo complexes in Kihei were built around that time, including our own. The complex recently replaced the roof, the lanai railings, the surface in the pool area, and replaced the barbecues. We also put solar panels on our roof to offset 100% of our electricity needs with green energy. So although buildings in Kihei have been around since the 70s, they usually are pretty well maintained. But after reading this review, I have sent an email to our management and asked them if we are doing enough to give guests the best first impression possible. Mahalo for your feedback! Ryan
