Description
Kipplochan is a luxury Norwegian pine log cabin holiday lodge situated in the exclusive Kipp Paddock development in the picturesque Scottish coastal village of Kippford. It has an extensive open plan kitchen, living and dining area, three large bedrooms, two bathrooms and comfortably sleeps six. and is equipped with Free WiFi, CD radio system, 85 inch Smart 4K Television in main sitting room , a 50 inch flat screen TV with Freesat in the master suite. Externally the lodge boasts a substantial mature garden with a stream running through it, private parking for up to three cars, two decking areas and a gas barbecue.
The Kipp Paddock development of nine holiday lodges was established in 2005 and Kipplochan is the largest. The lodges are arranged in a circle, the center of which is a small pond or lochan, hence our chosen name.
The village of Kippford nestles on the river Urr estuary and was once a busy port although these days its sailing activities are solely for leisure and the pace of life is very relaxed. The village has two nautically themed dog friendly pubs which are renowned for their friendly atmosphere and fine dining. Mature woodland surrounds the village on its landward side and there are numerous pleasant paths to walk and cycle. Red squirrels are plentiful in the area and can on occasion be seen in and around the garden of Kipplochan.
Internally the lodge is fully equipped with everything you will need for your stay. Kitchen equipment includes a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, air-fryer, slow cooker, steamer and egg cooker, conventional oven and hob, two microwave ovens as well as all the expected utensils, towels and crockery.
The large open plan living area contains a large dining table which comfortably provides dining for six, a sitting area equipped with a leather three-piece suite, cd, radio sound system, HD 85inch smart 4k flat screen television, as well as free WIFI
The utility room contains an automatic washing machine and separate tumble dryer, cleaning products as well as a hoover.
The spacious King size master bedroom has fitted wardrobes, a large luxury en-suite shower room, French doors overlooking the private garden and a 50-inch flat screen television with freesat.
The two remaining bedrooms each have twin beds and wardrobes. There is also a family bathroom with shower over bath.
Linen and towels are provided but please bring your own for the beach!
Well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (maximum 2) at a rate of £10 per dog.
Private parking for up to 3 cars.
Please note. We are not suitable for those that wish to party. we do not accept stag or hen groups.

What a beautiful and spacious chalet. The location is quiet, the chalet is clean and warm, and the hospitality of Wendy was splendid. Beds were very comfortable and the fire place created a warm and relaxing rest. We're already making plans to make this a regular event.

“beautiful lodge”
We have just spent 2 nights at the lodge . The lodge is massive , really comfortable and has everything you might need. Ideally situated for a short stroll into kippford or a longer forest or coastal walk , the short break was so relaxing and just what was needed in these chaotic times. The welcome pack was a nice touch and a lovely surprise . I would love to think that we will return to this lodge one day for a longer break.

“Kipplochan”
3 adults, one child and a dog came for a visit to this immaculate, spacious, gorgeous cabin and I couldn’t tell you who enjoyed it more. The attention to detail and warm welcome received didn’t go unnoticed. Wendy was an exceptional host, warm, friendly and on call whenever we needed her! We will definitely be back to enjoy the surroundings in the summer, a fantastic wee place!
