Additional Location Information

The Bear Creek Inn is located about 60 miles northeast of Cheyenne Wyoming, off of Highway 85. This Wyoming bed and breakfast is a great alternative to Cheyenne Wyoming lodging. It’s only a one hour drive to the capital city with its museums, shops and of course the world famous Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. On Bear Creek you will have a home of your own, the tranquility of country life, and a spectacular front porch view.

We are located conveniently between Denver, Colorado and the Black Hills of South Dakota. As you plan your Black Hills Lodging The Bear Creek Inn is the perfect mid-way stopping point. The Bear Creek Road is a little known scenic by-way that you won’t want to miss.

This is ranching country. Prominent cattle and horse ranches occupy much of the Bear Creek Valley. For the horse enthusiast the mares and colts from one of Wyoming’s largest horse remudas are a fabulous site to see.

Fort Laramie National Historic Site, a restored Cavalry outpost along the Oregon Trail makes for a great nearby day trip. As you pass through Torrington you’ll want to visit the Homesteaders Museum.

Black Hills Lodging and Cheyenne Wyoming Lodging can be hard to find and expensive, so for those who do not enjoy crowds of people, motels, traffic and noise, our Wyoming bed and breakfast under the star-blanketed sky may be that special place you are looking for.

The Bear Creek Inn is an ideal location for an overnight stay, a family reunion, small group retreats or a romantic getaway. Our past guests have been as diverse as the adventures you’ll experience on your Wyoming vacation. From world famous cowboys, to motorcycle enthusiasts, to a young man’s proposal of marriage under the stars, we’ve had them all.
