Description
A lovely detached holiday cottage 10 minutes drive from Pendine Beach and set in its own courtyard just a mile outside of the village of Laugharne in Carmarthenshire.
There is an enclosed courtyard garden which can be accessed via the front door or the French doors off the living area. The owners are happy for you to enjoy their large well maintained garden and the 5 acres of pasture land they own (subject to grazing animals).
There is off road parking for two cars.
Just 8 miles from Carmarthen, Laugharne is famous for it's association with Dylan Thomas-Welsh poet and writer. You can discover the magic of Laugharne with three of its famous attractions, all associated with the great Welsh poet and writer Dylan Thomas.
* The lovely two-mile Dylan Thomas Birthday Walk is the setting for one of his best loved works, Poem in October, in which he vividly describes a stroll around Laugharne on his 30th birthday.
* When Dylan and Caitlin arrived in Laugharne they dreamed of living in the Boathouse, set idyllically on the Taf Estuary. Dylan lived there with his family from 1949 to 1953. The Boathouse is now a museum, containing lots of memorabilia and much of the original furniture.
* There's not a pub in Laugharne that can't claim to have some Dylan Thomas connection. But it was in the airy bay window of Browns Hotel that he spent many happy lost afternoons, drinking his pint of Buckley's, writing, reading the papers, and bantering with his drinking companions. Now the hotel has been restored and reborn as a five-star boutique hotel and oozes a subtle 1940s/50s glamour.
There are also some interesting shops, restaurants and pubs as well as the magnificent Norman castle.
A little further down the coast you will find Pendine Sands with a 7 mile beach. Aberglasney Gardens, the National Botanic Garden of Wales and Ffos Las racecourse are also all within easy driving distance.

“Beautiful Wales.”

“Didn’t want to leave”
Beautiful people with beautiful souls Beautiful House in a Wondrous setting Magical county in possibly the most Magnificent of all Country’s . Made to feel like extended family . Without doubt the most relaxing holiday ever, for both of us. Thank you so much .

“Comfortable and cosy cottage”
A comfortable and cosy cottage situated in a great location... The owner and her daughter gave us a friendly welcome... An added bonus that there was a field (one acre) which was on site at the back of the cottage and was ideal for our dog... A great break and would definitely stay again... Thank you once again.

“Lovely cottage in a peaceful setting”
Lovely immaculately kept cottage in a quiet location. Accommodation had all the mod cons with personal touches. Close to amenities, countryside walks and a short distance to the beach. The owners made us feel very welcome & were on hand if we had any problems which we didn’t. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

“Lovely cottage in great location !!!”
A lovely cottage, perfect for us to have a nice quiet weekend. Great for the dog with lovely grounds and a massive field at the back. The owners were very welcoming and let us be, would definitely return!!
