Description

The apartment is 100 metres from the River Thames, and all the delights that the south bank has to offer. London Bridge mainline and underground stations are a 5-10 minute walk away.

Borough Market is on hand for your food supplies, and there are numerous supermarkets within a few minutes’ walk, as well as a wide choice of restaurants.

Overall accommodation is 36 square metres, is open plan and is on the first floor. Access to the apartment is via an internal open stairway, so please bear this in mind if you have small children. You may want to check out our other apartment, Bankside Apartment at Borough Market #1, which is on the Ground Floor.

There is a king size bed and a sofa bed in the apartment.

We have spent 2016 refurbishing and extending our property, using local architect Malcom Pawley, creating an additional studio apartment and adding higher specification fixtures and fittings, as well as a washer drier that our guests asked for.

All reviews prior to 2016 are for our original ground floor flat. This listing is for the first floor flat.

We pride ourselves on offering great customer service. The accommodation is sited adjacent to the owner’s home so we are usually on hand for help and advice about where to go, but you have your own entrance and your flat is self-contained.

We now have two apartments, one ground floor and one above it so, if you're coming to London with friends or family you can book both apartments together and we’ll offer you a discount. If you're interested in our other booking, search for Bankside Apartment at Borough Market #1 (number 212226).

Bed linen and towels are supplied. For long stays, extra bedding and towels and cleaning can be provided on request.

Please note that we charge an additional £10 per night per guest if there are more than two of you staying with us. This is to cover the additional cleaning costs.

Getting around

What many of our guests like is the fact that it's so pleasant to walk around the area, and you can get to several iconic London sites on foot, However, public transport links are also great. We are a two minute walk from London Bridge underground station, a ten minute walk from London Bridge rail station and there are buses to take you all over London. You can also take a river boat if you prefer, or hire a bike - there are docking stations for hire bikes very close to the apartment.

We live next door so are usually on hand to welcome guests and check you in. We're also around to help with any questions about the accommodation or the area and we will generally be available if you need us during your stay.

House rules

This is a relatively quiet residential street, so no parties please.
Also, please note that this apartment is reached by stairs with no door between the stairs and the accommodation, so this may not be a safe choice for very young children. Our other holiday property, which is on the ground floor, may be more suitable.

“An excellent host & apartment”

Over the past 35 years we have stayed at various hotels and apartments in London. The service David and his family provided us was excellent in every possible way. The communication was perfect, upon arrival we were given a warm welcome, with an explanation of all (very modern) appliances, chocolates, tea & a bottle of wine. The apartment has everything you need, a perfect bathroom, a very well equipped kitchen, wonderful bed & sofa bed. It is located near Borough Market and London Bridge underground station is just around the corner. The owners really provide you with everything you need for a perfect stay. It is the cleanest and best maintained apartment we have ever stayed at. Thank you for this, David, Ida & Isaac. We will be back in April .

Nous avons passé une semaine dans l'appartement de David. (2adultes et 2 enfants) L'appartement est très lumineux et très confortable. Salle de bains agréable avec sa douche à l'italienne. Appartement très bien équipé, (micro- onde - four - lave linge) afin de passer un bon séjour. Bonne literie. Proche du métro et du train. Très pratique pour se déplacer dans Londres. Merci à David pour tous ces précieux conseils. Si nous retournons un jour à Londres, nous prendrons la même location.
