Additional Location Information

Manciano is located in the heart of Tuscany's beautiful Maremma, one of the most striking corners of Tuscany, just 25 km from the sea and from the Argentario promontory with its resorts of Porto Ercole and Porto Santo Stefano, and its islands of Giglio and Giannutri, perfect for day trips. The Maremma is rich in archaeological sites, including the Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia, the Necropolis of Monterozzi (Tarquinia) and, above all, the archaeological area of Vulci, the ancient Roman-Etruscan metropolis.
You won't want to miss the Terme di Saturnia, 20 minute away, among the most famous Spa towns in Italy, with pools of sulphurous spring water (37.5° C) and holistic and beauty treatments, spa treatments and physiotherapy. There are many villages around Manciano that you will want to visit, such as Capalbio, Montemerano, Pitigliano, Sovana and Sorano. The Maremma is also famous for The Wine and Food Road. You will enjoy its famous red wines, like Morellino di Scansano, its Ricotta (fresh cheese), and Pecorino (sheep cheese). In under two hours you could be in either Rome or Siena.
