Description

The flat is upstairs. It has a kitchen/diner. The flat has its own entrance. It is ideal for a few days break for touring, fishing, walking or shooting. There are beautiful gardens and beaches nearby. There is a ferry to N Ireland to visit the Titanic Exhibition or the Giants Causeway or Belfast Zoo. There is one double bed room and 1 single bed room and the bathroom has a shower and a bath. In the kitchen there is a mini electric oven, microwave, toaster, electric hob, fridge freeze combined, 15"TV. WIFI is accessed through BT Fon for BT subscribers. For non BT subscribers wifi is available through BT Fon but with a small charge by BT. It is recommended that you have smart talk App on your phone to be able to make calls. It is central heated for only 35 GBP per week. Plenty of parking as well.

“Great base for the local area.”

Writing this on behalf of myself and my father who have just returned from a long weekend at the property. Having read previous reviews we can only judge on our own visit. We found the flat clean and tidy with everything we needed. The size of the TV didn't bother us as it was only used for a short time after a day out. It probably wouldn't have been a big deal if there hadn't been a TV in the flat at all. The mini oven / hob was fine for us, but I can understand it might seem a bit high for some people. Located in a nice village which is in a good place for getting to nearby towns such as Stranraer, Portpatrick and Cairnryan with ferries to Belfast. Please note that the pub in the village is closed. If coming from the north (Ayrshire) as we did, I would recommend following the A77 straight down through Cairnryan to Stranraer, then cut across to New Luce. A lot easier than the over 20miles of single track backroads that my outdated satnav took us. Good value rental flat for local and surrounding areas. Would certainly book again if going to the same area.

Response from the owner I am sorry the guest was disappointed. This is a flat for people who want to explore the area, not sit in the flat all of the time. There was an electric heater in the sitting room which is quite adequate along with the other heater. I cannot replace the mattress every time a customer sweats but we do clean thoroughly every time. The thermal fleece cover was new to the customer. Had they said something I could have placed them in the house which was available, but when I asked if everything was okay they said it was, what can I do? They never made any complaints at all. I believe the cost for a week is good value.
