Dappledown - comfortable, tranquil, thoroughly enjoyable

Left on Jul 07, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We stayed in Dappledown studio in June for one week, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is first class, spotlessly clean, well equipped and ideal for a couple wanting to visit the area. It is set in a small quiet village and overlooks fields with two magnificent oak trees (although one of them is bare of leaves). The owners are very friendly/helpful, and the welcome goodies …

Great little hideaway

Left on Mar 09, 2010 for a stay in December 2009

Howle Hideaway is a real gem hidden in the depth's of the Herefordshire countryside.

The house has been beautifully decorated throughout to a very high standard and was a real 'cosy' place to stay as a couple. The property had a very large open plan lounge and kitchen with the bedroom on the first floor (via a quite tight spiral staircase).

The owners of the property were very helpful and were…

Dont book if over 6ft tall!!

Left on Jan 19, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Booked this cottage for a family get together of 9 adults/teenagers. Great location but 4 members of the family continually banged their heads on the very low beams. Also the twin room is located off a double with an even smaller door to get through. The teenagers felt like hobbits especially as one is 6'2"! And the single room is on the other side of the new extended lounge house, all by itself…

We were made very welcome on arrival by the owner. This is a great apartment in lovely location. It looks out over the main docks area so there is always something going on. The whole area has been subjected to regeneration and it seems that the local authorities are doing their best to maintain appearances. Easy walk to several good restaurants and the Waterways museum. Quiet and peaceful retreat

Left on Sep 06, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

This cottage is set in a very quiet locality. It is not really suitable for anyone without transport because of the out of the way location.
The cottage is reasonably well equipped although some additional items such as a tray would be helpful.
Because of the location mobile telephone reception is virtually zero. Although Internet connection is available it is difficult within the cottage.
A good…

Left on Sep 21, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of London. I wanted somewhere peaceful and quiet. Daisy cottage offers just that. I was able to completely vegetate and watch the unchanging lanscape that was sheep! The weather was amazing and enhanced my stay. The cottage was clean with a mod con kitchen. It provided all the basic comforts of home.

This is a property with the wow factor

Left on Nov 22, 2010 for a stay in September 2010

Excellent stay for a week with six adults including myself. The house was exactly as featured in a lovely part of Herefordshire. A complete get away from it all experience with tranquil surroundings and plenty of wildlife. The owner had thought of everything and we wanted for nothing. We recommend the Crown in Woolhope for food as well.

The cottage is extremely well equipped and considering we were the first guests, there were no teething problems.
