Description

The Neuk is an ideal family self-catering holiday apartment centrally located in the Scottish seaside town of North Berwick in East Lothian. The apartment is situated on St Andrews Street in a Victorian apartment building

The Neuk has plenty of charm with high ceilings, large bay windows, corner window seating, plus is situated less than a minute walk to the town centre and the beach

Bedrooms:

2 bedrooms

Master bedroom has a super king sized bed which can be converted to two single beds. Please let us know if you require the master bed room to be set up as a twin room. The room will be set up as a super king size unless otherwise requested.

The second bedroom has two single beds.

Sitting room:

There is a spacious sitting room with 2 sofas and a window seat as well as an Apple TV which includes Netflix access.

Bathroom:

There is a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, w/c and wash hand basin.

Kitchen:

There is a fully equipped kitchen with a gas hob and oven, sink, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and all the kitchen utensils you will require for a self-catering holiday.

There is a family dining area with dining table seating four guests

Suitability:

The Neuk is one of our child friendly holiday properties. If you are bringing little ones, we have plenty of board games and toys available to make your holiday more enjoyable

General:

Central heating, electricity, bed linen, and towels are all included in the rental.

Please note public parking in North Berwick can be complex as the rules vary according to season and year to year. We recommend following the signs upon arrival in North Berwick and also advise considering your options for this prior to check-in as it is unfortunately something we are not able to assist with on the day

You are required to pay a 20% deposit payment with a minimum payment of £150.00 or higher which secures the property, this payment is non refundable in the event of a cancellation. Then, 42 days prior to your arrival date the balance will be payable with a separate refundable damage deposit of £150.00 due 7 days before your arrival date. Your refundable damage deposit will be held until you depart and then automatically refunded back onto your card within the week after you depart

“Great location!!”

Great location, central to everything. Parking across the road is for 3hrs from April to September, however was quiet enough on main road that we found some parking there most of the time. Flat is ideal for what we needed, agree with another review that it’s a little tired and could do with a refresh, however didn’t impact on our enjoyable break. TV signal is a bit temperamental, in terms of connection, however WiFi is generally good. Rooms are very light with no blackout curtains, which we are used to, appreciate not everyone will have an issue with, however some curtains in the main bedroom would be of benefit. Agree with separate review that the pillows are average, depends on your tastes I suppose, we are used to something firmer. We’d be happy to return again.

We book the Neuk now every time we come to North Berwick for a holiday. It is so central. Lovely two bedroom flat. Always fresh & clean. Bonus is the car park right across the road which is free.

“Home from Home”

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the neuk and the weather was kind so very kind.The flat is in an excellent position and has easy access to everything and i mean everything.The flat is comfortable and homely and has everything you need to self cater.we have re booked for next july for the same week.There is good parking opposite the flat-for those who dont know north berwick- there is plenty to do locally,nice shops,food shops and restaurants ect.Easy access to local villages,farm shops,edinburgh,northumberland for day trips out.we just relaxed,walked the beaches,had drinks in the bars,ate at the lobster shack,no 12,chinese restaurant,tom kitchens in gullane for my birthday,and the sea life centre- the weather made the week 'idyllic ' and relaxing-hope the sun turns out next year-but always prepared for all forms of holiday weather an essential We met gillian once who provides great service to guests and it easily contactable and posted my three items of -left in the wardrobe jackets ect as we all do on holiday!!!-lovely place to relax and reflect and appreciate life.. There is tv and dvd player- if you like music take your cd player ect Negative-Disposal of rubbish not a problem if you have a car-if you dont it could be a problem.as serial recyclers we separated the rubbish at the tip.Perhaps advise guests re best way to recycle rubbish would be good.

“Very good flat, suited all my needs with three children”

We had a lovely stay at Neuk apartment, it was clean and well equipped, had everything to feel comfortable. The position of the flat could not be better-very central, 2 min.walking distance to the beach if you take shortcut along Costa café. All the amenities nearby and the car is not really needed. North Berwick is a charming town and has lots of activities on offer which would suit to any taste. My only concern was that the wardrobe in a smaller bedroom was leaning forward and did not seem to be stable, which potentially can be dangerous if the strong toddler pulls handles of the wardrobe towards himself/herself. So I had to watch my 3 years old but otherwise it is a very good apartment and reasonably priced as well.
