“Beautiful views”

Reviewed 29 Aug 2022

This apartment has a lovely view & this is what helps sell the property in my opinion. The entrance itself is tired and lots of flies gather round the bins. It is light & airy once upstairs as… More

Response from the manager Thank you for this review and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay. The entrance to the property is shared with the ground floor flat and so upgrading this would need their agreement. The bins are kept close to the property as otherwise they are prone to "disappearing" - bins are a perennial issue in the East Neuk. I will pass on your other comments to the owners who stayed themselves after your visit and did attend to a number of minor issues. Kind regards David Fife Cottages

“Family of 3 with small baby”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2021

Great location. Clean flat. Only criticism is there are no blackout blinds just curtains which let in a lot of light so if you’re a light sleeper (or small child) it’s not ideal. We brought a blackout gro blind with us so could stick on the window with suckers. The parking is unclear in the description. It tandem parking in the lane not the 2 spaces directly across from flat. Locals were friendly. ESP the clock tower cafe and the chocolate shop across the road. The local bakers is across the road and has the best butteries. Central location for visiting all other parts of Fife. Close to St.Andrews. Would use again.

“Perfect apartment from which to explore the East Neuk.”

Reviewed 11 Mar 2016

The apartment was easy to find. Well located right on the high street with enough shops in the village to shop for some food, newspapers, local crafts etc. The fish and chip shop, chemist and bakery were excellent with really friendly staff. Travelling with children we woke early each day and enjoyed walking to the pier and the various beaches to do some boat watching and beach exploring. Each day we walked part of the East Neuk coastal path and these were easy to follow and a fun walk without being too difficult. The are great maps and guide books in the apartment. The facilities within the apartment are super. Everything was lovely and clean and all bed linen fresh on arrival. The hall at the bottom of the stairs was well appointed to hold wellies and winter coats. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you could need for a short or long stay. This is the first holiday rental we have stayed in where there were enough bin bags, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets for the whole stay. Such a refreshing change. Other villages and towns in the East Neuk were easy to get to and even though it was February there was still lots to do with the children. Fife cottages sent through a comprehensive ideas of places to go and things to do list and we enjoyed trying these out. There are lots of good places to eat nearby from fish and chips on a quay side to 5 star restaurants. We enjoyed a great weeks stay and would recommend it.
