Rowan Cottage was built in 2009.All on one level with wheelchair access ,Please inquire for disable facilities provided, It is extremely spacious with large lounge, kitchen/ dining room, 1 double and 2 twin bedrooms, 2 bathrooms , 1 with bath and 1 with shower. It has wonderful views from all windows. Surrounded by its own large enclosed garden it offers a peaceful retreat for a relaxing holiday. Built and finished to a very high standard, it is furnished and equipped with everything you should require.Scottish furniture, leather suite, oak floors, electric range cooker. Solar water heating with backup for when the sun does not shine enough.
We live on site so we will meet you on arrival and are are available to answer any questions about the area
Located on our sheep and cattle farm in the heart of Aberdeenshire it provides the ideal base for touring the many attractions of the area. Fyvie castle and numerous National Trust properties, beautiful coast with quiet beaches and fishing villages. Birds at RSPB Loch of Strathbeg
We run our cottages and our farm on environmentally friendly basis. On the farm we have planted hedges and woodland and do not use chemicals on our grass. We have a 15Kw wind turbine which provides electricity for the farm and the cottages. In the cottages we have all low energy lighting and use low energy electrical appliances. We provide recycling bins for our guests.

“Very great cottage (Rowan Cottage)”
This is one of the best cottages I have been in recent years. Built to very high standards, with high quality equipment , very spacious and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our 4 and 6 year olds with lots of open ground to run around. Location is also very ideal and central. The only thing to be improved is the internet access which was not consistent, probably due to the remote location. Will recommend this cottage to anyone looking to explore Aberdeenshire/Inverness-shire Ben
