Description
Lovingly restored stone cottage with original features of high wood beamed ceilings, ceramic floors, and where the caves are still in use today. The home has original Tuscan antiques and furnishings, but all with a modern flair. This is not a traditional holiday home as it was designed for the owner to live in, and is furnished with every attention to detail.
The house is ideally located in a hilltop village offering spectacular scenery, the chesnut hills and valley views and stunning mountain peaks surround you. Peaceful, tranquil, and ideal for kicking back and relaxing.
The home sleeps up to six people, with the additional option of an apartment in the village, that can sleep another three, and this is offered free of charge when booked together with Casa Michele. See Casa della Nonna on this website for photos and a complete description.

“Casa Michele - Even more beautiful than you can imagine!!”
What an incredibly beautiful Villa. One never knows what one will get when getting properties from a website but beleive me, this one is better than the pictures. Peacful, quiet, relaxing , beutifully and tastefully decorated and the views are simply breathtaking! Though isolated from pretty much everything, the proximity to all the surrounding little towns makes things quite easy (except don't run out of milk or wine lol). The people in the village are friendly but are few and far between...there are more cats than people I think lol If you are looking for an amazing place to call your home base, Casa Michele is the place. If you are looking to be in the centre of all the action, this may not be your spot. If you have difficulty with climbing stairs, getting to the Casa may be a minor issue as there is quite a steep walkway from the parking spot. In my view, Casa Michele is a huge thumbs up

Response from the owner Thank you so very much for taking the time to complete the review. I am so very happy you enjoyed yourselves and that you found exactly what you were looking for from my description of Casa Michele, when you arrived! I hope to see you back on another trip to Luscignano ! Kind Regards, Kathy

“Untamed Tuscany”
Casa Michele is a stone home perched on the side of a mountain. The place itself is comfortable, personal, with the luxurious mixing with the rustic in the most artistic way. The terrace is large, with lovely little areas to sit or to eat, with loads of flowers and trees, and the view can only be described as spectacular. This place is on the outskirts of a small village, very private, and surrounded by countryside and villages that are hundreds of years old, and it is like going back in time. If you like being off the beaten track, you could not find a more charming place. The area is great for walks and there is a tiny train station nearby that can take you to Florence, Lucca, and elsewhere, but why would you want to be anywhere else? This place is a jewel.

“Dream Tuscany Vacation”
Casa Michele was perfect in every way. The house and stone patio are what you would see in a movie. The house itself is in a very small adorable hilltop village that is secluded and very quiet. There are however lots of cute larger villages with shops and markets within a 15 minute drive or so. There is so much to do in the area, we had many plans , but beware the patio and views are so relaxing you might end up spending most of your time lounging and dining al fresco on the patio as we did! We used the wood pizza oven almost every day! We had two couples staying in the house and it was the perfect size, with the pull out couch downstairs I would say a family staying would work out well too. We would definitely go back.

“Beautiful Tuscan Villa”
Our family enjoyed an incredibly relaxing sun-soaked week in this beautiful hill-top town Tuscan villa. Initially taken aback by its remoteness (bring groceries when you arrive Sunday afternoon), we settled in quickly and relaxed completely with the gorgeous mountain views, fabulous patio and the routine of living in a beautifully renovated stone house. Day trips to Fivizanno, Cinque Terre and Equi Terme were all we needed before we rushed home to enjoy the sunsets. We are already dreaming about our next visit to Casa Michele!

I just wanted to remind you that should you decide to return to Italy and Casa Michele, that I offer an automatic discount to any of my return customers to Luscignano and my little house in the hills, so please do remind me you are a return customer - I do hope we see you back one day! I will also offer the same discount to any friends you refer, as word of mouth has been my best success for happy customers! All the best, Kathy

“Relaxing amid splendor”
"Charming" is the first word that comes to mind when describing the property. It's a centuries old stone villa, with updated kitchen and 2 baths, on the edge of a centuries old, hilltop, stone village. The view of the Apuan Alps from the terrace is awe inspiring, as are the villages, each with a bell tower, spotted throughout the rolling hills. The only sounds are coo-coo birds and church bells. I've never felt closer to God. If you tire of relaxing it's only a half hour drive to some of the finest beaches on the Italian Riviera, and some of the finest restaurants. The only downside is the villa is located down a rather steep set of steps from the car park. The road to the village is a bit twisty, but there is no traffic so you may drive a slowly as you like.
