Visited BlueBell cottage for a 2 night break away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Was fantastic, Sylvia really has thought of everything. I wanted to bring that bed home - heaven,so comfortable. Welcome pack was very informative and really enjoyed our wine and chocolates, thank you.

“Beautiful setting”

Reviewed 22 Mar 2020

Lovely setting for this cabin with great views over the valley. There is everything you need in the cabin, even down to salt n pepper and tea and coffee. The cabin was immaculate. The cabin was smaller than I thought from the pictures especially the kitchen but it did have everything you need.

“Excellent Location”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2019

Bluebell Cottage is in an excellent location up in the Welsh hills, amongst beautiful woodland and plenty of amazing scenery. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time and the facilities in the cottage were perfect, more than we were expecting! This will always hold a special place in our hearts as it's where we got engaged! Huge thanks to Sylvia for being so welcoming and for the Lambrini and chocolate orange, it went down well! Would definitely stay again and can't recommend it strongly enough.

“Lovely place for a short visit”

Reviewed 23 Apr 2019

My husband and I stayed in this little ‘cottage’ for a long weekend. It was a lovely little place for a short stay but we definitely wouldn’t want to stop there for a full week - just a little bit too cramped. The cottage is more of a pine log cabin and is quite small even for two people. It does have everything you need - a kitchen with an oven and microwave and kettle but the kitchen is very small. We went when the weather was quite warm and it made cooking quite uncomfortable. I think I expected it to be larger - we have stayed in these kinds of places before and this was on the smaller side. My husband is also about 6 foot and taking a shower was a bit hard work for him as the shower didn’t seem to extend up to full human height. The fan in the bathroom was a little weird - we could never work out when it would be on or off and there was no way of defining that ourselves. It was annoying when it was loudly whirring at night. That being said - the place was set in really lovely gardens with a wonderful view. There was a lovely decking area for us to sit out, and we could have used the BBQ if we wanted to (I think... reading people’s comments it looks like we could have done although we were never told about this ourselves) We were greeted by the owners and were gifted a bottle of wine and a terrys chocolate orange. This was a lovely gesture, although we do not drink ourselves. There was information about the local area inside, and there was WiFi and tv. Also lots of books and dvds to watch if you wanted to. The tv looked to have sky - it didn’t (this was just a way to access freeview). We didn’t mind but it made finding available channels a little challenging. The bed was incredibly comfortable and a good size for us. This was a really nice surprise!! There was a strange little extra room with a single bed stuffed in there wall to wall - we couldn’t see the purpose in that. Would have been better as extra storage seeing as we have no place to put our clothes!! I think it must have previously been a storage space as there was an ironing board that couldnt be pulled away from the wall. We used it for Storing our clothes because there wasn’t anywhere else and I don’t think a third person would have ever slept in there (perhaps a small child?) We did love our stay and we think we would come again - perhaps we would stay in their other property The Nook?

“A great location to explore North Wales”

Reviewed 30 Oct 2018

Bluebell Cottage is in great location to explore North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park. Walked around Llyn Idwal and visited Bets-y-Coed, Conwy and Portmeirion. Also walked up the very steep hill to Cadair Ifan Goch, where you are greeted by a great view of the valley. Sylvia met us on arrival and was very friendly and welcoming making sure we had everything we needed.
