Description

This is a beautiful, spacious and bright drawing room flat, on the first floor of a converted Victorian house. Recently refurbished and decorated to a high standard, retaining many period features including the Victorian staircase, cornicing and original marble fireplaces. There are open views across to Arthur's Seat, a famous Edinburgh landmark.

The 2 bedrooms are spacious.The master bedroom has a king sized bed and walk in wardrobe and the second bedroom contains a King sized bed that can be split into 2 single beds if required. A travel cot is available for guests with a baby.

The Drawing Room has a television with DVD player. A DAB radio, free secure wifi, and a bluetooth speaker are also available for guests' entertainment. There is a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven,microwave, dish washer, washing machine, fridge freezer, all crockery cutlery & utensils.The modern bathroom has a bath and shower.

The property has gas central heating with a combi boiler which provides 24 hour hot water. There is a private garden outside the apartment for guests to enjoy.

Guests can benefit from free parking (a real asset in Edinburgh!).

This is a quiet location, but only 10 mins walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, theatres and cinema, The flat has free car parking and also benefits from a direct bus service to the city centre, the Castle, Royal Mile and other attractions taking approximately 10 mins or a pleasant 25min stroll. Blackford Hill provides many fine local walks with fabulous views across the city and the Firth of Forth. Edinburgh University and two golf courses are also within walking distance. A local grocer with home baked bread and croissants is only minutes away.

Getting around

The 41 bus leaves from just outside the apartment and takes guests to the city centre. However there is a pleasant walk to the city centre via the Meadows park, and local shopping areas in Morningside and Bruntsfield are a short walk from the apartment,

Although access is by key safe, Caroline and Richard ( the owners of the property) stay close by and can pop in to assist you if you have any issues. You will be provided with their contact details prior to arrival. There is a welcome pack in the apartment giving information on the flat and the area.
