Description

WE HAVE A NO PET POLICY! Trout Run Cabin is a place to slow down, grab a book , find a cozy place inside or outside and just BE! The cabin has a fast flowing creek in the back and a pond in the front. Do you like to fish? Do you like to hear bull frogs at night? No traffic noise here.....only the sound of the creek. When was the last time you played a board game or cards with your children? Bring a fishing rod and head for the creek or the pond. How do you relax? Trout Run Cabin has plenty of flat area for children to play and ride their bikes. We are less than 20 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. For the man in your life, we are 17 minutes from Home Depot.

You might find that once you get to the cabin, you will want to stay there. Yes, it is that relaxing. However, Blue Ridge is a beautiful area with activities and adventures for all ages. You can simply relax and take in the breathtaking views and vistas, or you can partake in all of the action and adventure Blue Ridge has to offer. Take a nostalgic train ride into Tennessee on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, do some shopping in downtown Blue Ridge, catch a fish in one of our pristine streams or rivers, hike through the Cohutta Wilderness, take a lazy river float down the Toccoa River, battle the rapids while Whitewater Rafting, take a stroll through the woods on horseback, zip through the treetops on a Canopy tour, soar through the sky on a helicopter tour, sip some wine and listen to great live music at a local winery, enjoy a live production at the Blue Ridge Community Theater, or go boating, canoeing, or kayaking! There are endless opportunities for fun and adventure in Blue Ridge, and we would love to share it with you! We have a no pet policy, we do not have a hot tub and we are a non-smoking rental.

Response from the owner Thanks so much for your nice review. It was a pleasure having you all as our guests. You are correct about the mountain roads being single lane but you would be amazed at how big the trucks are that deliver propane to the cabins. All the roads leading to the cabin are at least 12 feet wide. Most are 15 feet. They have to be wide enough for the larger gravel hauling dump trucks to get in and spread new gravel on the roads every so often throughout the year. We are very thankful that we do not have any steep roads coming in to the cabin. Makes it so nice for our guests that there are no steep hills to climb. It is such an easy drive in and out. Since I am well over 6' tall, I completely understand your comment about the upstairs bathroom being a little tight. Most cabin loft bathrooms are not built for tall folks like myself. We are so blessed to have this slice of heaven to share with others. Blue Ridge is such a great mountain town. Please come back soon and sit by the creek. As you know, it's an incredibly awesome place to relax. Thanks much!

Response from the owner Thanks so much for your kind words. We take pride in giving our guests the ultimate relaxation destination where they can enjoy quiet and solitude in the National Forest. When we attempt to describe Trout Run Cabin and all the amenities offered it is nothing like what one experiences when you are at the cabin. There are so many places in and around the cabin to relax. We take pride in the cabin being ultra clean and accommodating for our guests. The favorite amongst most of our guests is having a nice fire in the fire pit at night while listening to the sounds of the creek just a few feet away and watching the reflections of the flames glisten off the trees. The stars are amazing since we have no light intrusion. What better way to enjoy roasted hot dogs for dinner and smores for dessert!!!! During the day, there is no need to even get in the car. There are many trails and gravel roads to walk on and enjoy the best that nature has to offer. Senior Citizens love it here because we have so many flat areas for walking. We are proud to have such a wonderful cabin to share. The location of the cabin is truly perfect....there is a fast flowing creek in the back, a HUGE pond in the front and wonderful paths thru the National Forest all right out the front door. For a good nights sleep, it helps that we have ultra comfortable pillow top beds and 1500 thread count sheets. Talk about a good nights sleep!!! Thanks again for staying with us and we look forward to your return visit in the future. We are blessed with many return visitors which is our greatest compliment.
