“A Beautiful Week In Playa”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2014

We had 6 adults stay in this 3 bedroom condo. The master bedroom was gorgeous and the king-sized bed was ok. The middle bedroom had 2 queen sized beds which were comfortable. The small bedroom was very small and had a fan instead of aC. There was a small bedside table on one side and nothing on the other. We ended up setting up our luggage as a small table on the other side to put water and phone etc. The bed in the small bedroom was more comfortable than the king sized bed in the Master bedroom. The bathrooms are fine and overall the place was very clean. There were plenty of towels and the sheets were changed on the 3rd and 5th days. We did have an issue with the stove - if it is not turned off correctly, there is an odor of gas. We had to have maintenance show us the trick. The beach was gorgeous and Gabrielle was there to get us chairs and umbrellas everyday. Also, we could get beach/pool side service from Fusion and ate there a few times too. There was never an issue of not finding a chair even though a lot of the units were filled. The location of the condo is great if you have children. We happen to be 6 adults on vacation the same week that a lot of families were on vacation. Being poolside was nice but we had a lot of kids in the pool at all times. Although the property manager did make sure the kids were not overly loud and playing catch, etc. the pool seemed to always be occupied with kids. I think I would get a beachfront or maybe a roof condo if I came back with no kids. The location of the complex was perfect. We were within walking distance of 5th ave, the ferry and even Walmart.

“Can't wait to go back!”

Our stay at E1 was perfect and exceeded our expectations! We picked this unit because we were a couple of families with small children and it walks out to the pool. This was the best feature! It was great being able to watch the kids right from the patio or run in and out. The kids loved the wii and wifi that comes with the condo. Luna itself is luxurious and small (really hard to find!) We felt like we were very secluded and private but at the same time right in the mix of all of the action. During our stay we met so many wonderful guests and the staff were top notch. Alberto was always there for advice or to assist us with any concerns. Gabriel also took really good care of our needs as well and new everyone by name! This is what makes Luna stand apart in my opinion. It is really hard to get this type of personal service in a big resort. Tonya was also excellent at giving us lots of information about the area and answering all of my questions before the trip! Thanks again and we will be back! Tracy

We travel to Playa Del Carmen a number of times every year, so, this time, we decided to treat ourselves to a stay directly on the beach. We are a group of 4 women who travel together often for our "girls trips." Luna Encantada E1 lives up to the pictures on the website. It is a beautifully appointd 3 bedroom condo directly on the beach pm Calle 6 beside Fusion - cannot beat the convenient location to the beach and 5th. There is drinking water provided and all amentities are there for your use. The pool is beautiful and well maintained, as are the grounds. Housekeeping arrived every 2 days without fail. The Property Management company was great to work with online prior to arrival, but we never did see them once we arrived, but minor issues were dealt with communicating through email with Tonya. The only drawbacks are as follows: Master bedroom King bed is literally as hard as a rock - perhaps a memory foam or a new mattress is warranted. The drawer pulls are missing on dressers - hard to open drawers. The condo is quite dark - the energy efficient bulbs don't quite cut it. Other than that - everything was utter perfection - would defintitely stay at or recommend Luna Encantada to others.

“Good not great”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2013

Thing that stands out to me is that the property has so much potential to be a great vacation spot but its potential is not fulfilled. There is so much competition in this area that i feel that the owners know they have a great location and are happy with that. The apartment is plenty spacious even though the guest bedrooms are kind of tight in space. Most of the furniture is outdated. The kitchen had a good size and appliances where good and plenty of options. My shower door did not close properly so there was water all over the place after showering. We also had a water leak from our cealing from apparent water pipe damage to upstairs unit. The location is very good, right next to 5th ave. Beach is right there also, not best beach, not worse. Pretty nice. Pool was very good. Could really use TV set in each room, only has TV in family room. Service staff was very friendly. They did a good job of cleaning unit every other day. So all in all a good experience, not great. I would go back to same building but different unit.

“Paradise Found”

Reviewed 22 Mar 2013

We stayed in unit E1 for two weeks in February & March and it was absolutely perfect for me, my husband and my mother in law. This first floor condo was very accessible for my mother in law who has mobility issues yet it was very private, secure and luxurious. Unlike staying at a large resort, we had a private beach and access to 5th avenue for shopping, groceries and an assortment of 1/2 star to 5 star restaurants. We had freedom and peace of mind staying at Luna - after a beautiful day in the sun, Mom would settle in and read/watch tv while hubby and I would often go for a drink on 5th ave. The condo itself has a great layout, lots of space and privacy for everyone -- the beds were super-comfy. I disagree that the beds are uncomfortable nor did hear any water pump noise at all. The entire staff works to assure all guests satisfaction and the property is exceptionally well maintained. It was our first ever condo rental after many all-inclusive resorts and this is how we'll roll from now on. Special thanks to Tonya for making this our best trip ever.

“Beautiful but has a noisy pump.”

Reviewed 23 Jan 2013

This is a very nice condo and location, the best on the beach. The only problem is that you can't get any sleep due to water pump noise. There is a utility room directly underneath the condo and water pumps are repeatedly turning on with a whirring sound and then loudly turning off. This occurs all day and all night and makes it hard to sleep even with ear plugs. This combined with a rock hard bed made me happy to return home so I could get rested from my vacation.

Response from the manager We have a new bed!!! Have had no other "water pump" complaints??? I've stayed in this condo many times and have never heard anything that kept me awake. In fact, it's my family's favorite place to stay.

“Most beautiful place in Mexico!”

This was our second trip to Luna. We love Play and Luna Encantada is perfectly situated to enjoy the beach and the excitement of 5th avenue. We hope to keep coming back for years to come!

“Great time at the Beach”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2011

My friend and I were completely knocked out when we walked into the condo complex. It is at least as beautiful as the photos. The location is the best in Playa del Carmen. Friendly and helpful staff. We took long walks in either direction on the beach and swam in the beautiful water as often as possible. Our condo was huge, nicely decorated and very clean. We loved walking out the sliding door to our little sitting area with about 10 steps to the pool. The other guests were very friendly and considerate. I would highly recommend Playa Beach Condo to provide you with a great experience in Playa del Carmen. I'm hoping to go back soon.

Luna Encantada was great and beautiful as always! Went really liked going to Wicky's during the day to lay on the beach and Fusion is good too!

“Best beach location in Playa”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2011

This was our third trip to Playa del Carmen in 6 years. By far the best location, views and accomodations we've had. The condos have sweeping views of the waterfront. Recent beach restoration has resulted in broadest, whitest, cleanest beach in front of this complex. We had two units, they were both spacious and comfortably decorated. The complex is well-kept, attractive, guarded and graciously managed by alberto and his staff who responded to every concern/request. The staff will help with everything from airport transport (highly recommended) to arranging for authentic Mexican meal prepared in your condo. The location is convenient to everything in Playa. Fusion restaurant next door has great food and was favorite breakfast spot when we didn't want to cook. We love this town with so much charm and so many things to do. Highlights of this trip: swimming with whale sharks, Jungle aTV to cenote and Xel-Ha. Traveling to Mexico means putting up with minor inconveniences that you don't find at first class us accomodations, tolerating solicitation from every shop owner on the street, and enduring incredible humidity in June. That all said, it is our family's favorite place to vacation.
