“Litttle slice of paradise!”
The owner is very organized, great directions to the condo. Great directions for everything in the condo and suggestions for dinning and shopping around the island. Well stocked kitchen, sharp knives! ( we have stayed in many condos where you don't have what you need to cook). There is a grill on the patio which makes cooking at the condo very easy. Beach towels, cooler and beach chairs are available for use. The pool is nice and neighbors are very friendly. Outside sink for cleaning dive equipment and inside drying storage are perfect. I liked the fact that the condo was close to town but not in town, it is close to many dives sites and to several dive shops. The neighborhood is quiet and I always felt safe. The owner has a collection of DVDs to watch and dive reference material to review. I honestly can't think of anything the owner could do to improve the condo or the instructions given!! We even had a welcome basket of snacks and coffee waiting for us when we arrived which was a very nice touch. We have traveled and stayed in many condos and this is by far one of the nicest!!
Response from the owner Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a great review. We're delighted that you had a great vacation and are looking forward to welcoming you back to our home.
“Wonderful place to stay LBR 13”
So myself and my 2 adults sons spent 7 nights at LBR 13. What an incredible experience. Our flight arrive late and when we arrived at the villa there was a basket of snacks (peanut butter, jelly, bread & fruit) waiting for us. What a nice welcome. The villa is clean, spacious, and very comfy. Great location. Walking distance to the beautiful beach, very nice private pool and lovely outdoor area to relax in. The BBQ was great to have. Booking was easy and villa was more then expected. We loved our stay. Thank you so much for an unforgettable vacation.
Response from the owner S, thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We are so delighted that you and your sons had such a positive experience at LBR 13. We hope to welcome you back on your next trip to Bonaire.
“Truly a home away from home”
After skimming through the other reviews about Kas Bientu di Pasat there is not much that can added except that all of the positive commentary and praises for this rental are true to life. My wife and I spent a week there and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Air conditioning is available in the bedrooms that are on the second floor but not for the main living area on the ground floor. When we were there in December there was a nice air flow through the downstairs that made it quite comfortable during the day and air conditioning was not needed. The condo is spacious and very well equipped with all of the amenities you would have at home including an internet based phone for calls to the USA as well as a DVD player and a nice variety of DVDs to watch as you relax after a day of diving or snorkeling. If you want information on dive or snorkel sites as well as other recreational opportunities on the island there is a wealth of printed materials in two large 3 ring notebooks as well as other publications on the living room coffee table. There is also an excellently illustrated book on coral reef fish identification that is so helpful after a dive. The condo is nicely located in a residential area with very friendly neighbors who are free with their suggestions as to ideal dive sites and other activities available on the island. A swimming pool is available which we did not use. Staying at Kas Bientu di Pasat even provided a discount on a car rental as well as diving at Dive Friends. All in all, Kas Bientu di Pasat is a great place to stay at a very reasonable price. We would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to have a pleasant and memorable stay on Bonaire as long as they don't reserve the weeks we would wish to return. :-)
Response from the owner Hi S We are delighted that you and your wife thoroughly enjoyed your time at Kas Bientu di Pasat. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a great review. We look forward to welcoming you back the next time you visit Bonaire. Audrey
“Best outfitted condo I have stayed in.”
What a great deal for such a wonderfully comfortable home. I just spent 8 nights in LBR #13 and can't wait to go back. The kitchen has everything you need and the gas grill is better than the one at home. I love the island décor... very colorful. The outside rinse tub and gear hangers for dive gear keeps the mess outside. Once the gear has dripped dry you can bring it inside to the laundry room which has lines for finishing the drying. Nice to have cable TV with LCD TV (though we didn't watch it much). Very reliable internet. I particularly liked the Magic Jack phone. You can make toll-free calls to anywhere in the us and people back home can call you toll-free...amazing!!! The location is perfect. It is a short walk to the ocean where you can just walk in and find some of the best diving in the world. Incredible numbers and variety of fish. If you are into kite surfing the kite surfing beach is an easy 2 mile drive down the coast. The wind surfing beach is a little farther, but can be reached in under 10 minutes. We never used the a/C. The outside temp was in the 80's, but the steady breeze kept the inside very comfortable including sleeping at night. The home is oriented so that the prevailing breezes blow through the home. The palm trees and landscaping are beautiful and offer ample shade for sitting outside. While the home is part of a condo community, it is very quiet. The neighbors were very friendly and most are divers who love the island and take good care of their homes. if you don't know about Bonaire, the island is very protective of the coral reefs with strict rules about not touching anything under water. There are over 60 named dive sites on the island where all you have to do is park, put your gear on, and walk into the water. Every dive I took was fantastic. The coral is in great shape and there were lots of fish. I highly recommend this home and can't wait to go back.
“Relaxing , peacefull vacation with a big helping of excitment!”
Great place to stay with all amenities! Steps to ocean and pool! And a great price! Close to most dive sites the condo had everything from BBQ to internet, rinse sink and indoor drying room for gear Loved the bed in the master bedroom: would have taken it home if I could have: slept like a baby on it! Fully equipped kitchen: full size stove and fridge. And the island has several fully stocked supermarkets (as good as home wherever that is) Van Der Twill's(sp may be wrong) is less than 10min away and has a great wine selection & great beef!! We used Bruce Bowker's Dive Shop at the Caribe Inn and got great service for less than most other operators. Also want to there are lots of great restaurants on the island: Its Raining Fishes, Patagonia, Divi Flamingo and Sebastian's (the last 2 are less than 5 minutes from the condo) go! All in all we had a great time and hope to go back and would stay at #13 Lighthouse Beach again
Response from the owner Hi Richard, Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted that you enjoyed our home for your 4-week stay in Bonaire, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Best, Audrey
“best value with beach and pool”
Our family loved our week long summer dive trip to Bonaire and our stay at LBR #13 as our "home away from home!" It was an incredible value for your own beach and pool access. We chose this unit as my teen girls liked the fact that they each had their own twin bed to sleep in for the week. The unit is well stocked with extra sheets and towels and the kitchen has enough gear to cook up a storm...which we did most nights. The owners were a delight to work with and they were quick to answer any and all of my questions before our arrival. There is a manager who lives next door if there were any issues, which there were none. Plus it was so nice to have some coffee, fruit, bread and other provisions waiting for us when we arrived from our 5 am flight! This place is was laid out well for our family of 4 divers and all our gear. Our favorite part was that we could back up our rental truck to the back yard, unload our scuba gear in the handy "buckets" the owners provide, wash our gear in the outdoor basin and hang everything up on the extra strong rack out of the direct sunlight because of the large palm trees in the yard...in a matter of minutes! The outdoor shower and clotheslines on the side of the house were perfect for towels and suits. But the absolutely best part of the unit was the utility room behind the kitchen where we could store scuba gear x4 overnight! The only problem my Husband noted is that a week was not long enough! We will be back... and it will be at least 2 weeks the next time. We enjoyed 11 amazing dive sites from as far north as Nukove, one off our own beach and south to Salt Pier. We explored the island from a kayak in the mangroves as well as the back roads in Washington National park from our truck. Everything is accessible from this location.
Response from the owner Lisa, We are so delighted that you chose Kas Bientu di Pasat for your "home away from home" for your family vacation. We appreciate your kind words and support, and we certainly look forward to welcoming you and your family back to our home on your next trip to Bonaire. Best, Audrey
