The Neighborhood:

Getting around

So near, yet in a world apart from the bustling crowds, traffic and noise. A car is very helpful, though Uber and taxis are available. Santa Barbara is accessed by car from freeway 101 north and south, and the property is just off Hwy 192 in Santa Barbara. Amtrak train serves Santa Barbara (10 minutes), as does Santa Barbara Airport (SBA- 15 minutes) and 90 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX- 90+ minutes)

Getting around

The easiest way to experience Santa Barbara is by vehicle. Your own car or monthly rental car, uber or lyft or taxi may be most convenient regular access. Your rental is 5 minutes drive up a winding road from much of Santa Barbara activities, dining, sights, and more. The internationally renowned Gibraltar Loop bicycle route is about a block up from your property. A long distance type of bicycle and an experienced cyclist is a good idea if you opt to cycle th upper loop. There are many hiking trails in the area, including the 400 acre Parma Park across the street.

Your private detached cottage is within a 1+ acre semi-private gated estate. Your guesthouse cottage, deck and hot tub are all private, screened with beautiful landscaping including a koi pond with waterfall. You will receive a Guest Binder for must-see/do experiences and hidden treasures, activities, great restaurants, and more for your exploration. In addition, hosts avail. for assistance and occasionally for hospitality. The owners/hosts typically live within the semi-private gated estate in a separate detached home not far from the guesthouse rental. Hosts have over 30 years professional experience in luxury inn, corporate rentals, hospitality, luxury and adventure travel planning. Privacy, balanced with hospitality.
