Spacious 1 bedroom condo (1150 square foot) located 14 steps from one of the best stretches of beach, in beautiful Playa del Carmen.

The views from the infinity pool are 180 degree ocean views. The view is nothing less than breathtaking. There is a huge ground level pool with day beds, many chaise lounge chairs and umbrellas, and a bar area with tables in the shade. The rooftop is stunning with an infinity pool, many lounge areas with couches and over sized chairs in the shade, with tables, huge solarium seating area, and chaise lounge chairs, all with a view that will knock your socks off. The rooftop is for the use of about 20 condos, but is huge and can easily accommodate many more.

The building has a side beach entrance with outdoor showers and easy access to outdoor restrooms, all within 14 short steps to the beach. Step out to the beach, turn right and 2-3 minute walk down the beach and you are in the middle of happening Mimatas Beach Club with great beach side cafés and all the action that is Mamitas. Turn left and less than a minute walk down the beach and you begin a stretch of beach with very few people. This entire area, left and right, is free of rocks and seaweed…it's just sugar white sand and aqua blue water.

Inside the condo, you'll have a spacious unit with two living areas, dining area, granite kitchen, separate bedroom, large bath, walk-in closet, and terrace overlooking the palm trees and cabana roofs of Shangri-La/Mahekal. A wall mounted 42" plasma TV with cable and DVD player as well as a CD stereo add to the amenities inside the condo.

This property was designed for holiday guests and has a lobby with a reception desk. When you arrive you won't have to search for the property manager's office and then make your way to a residential condo building. Just walk into the beautiful lobby and collect your programmed key-card. This building is fully staffed much like a hotel, with 24 hour reception, security, and maintenance. You will enjoy a resort setting with flowers, beautiful landscaping, and amenities you just won't find in a residential condo building.

Pueblito Escondido has many common areas that are what you would expect to find in a high-end resort, at a fraction of the price.

This oversized one bedroom unit at 1150 sq ft is larger than most 2 bedroom condos in Playa del Carmen. What you get in most condos is a tiny living area and super small bedrooms. The open floor plan of this condo includes a living area and a seperate media area with a wall mounted 42” plasma TV with cable and DVD. The dining room has a large dining table with 4 chairs and the kitchen bar has bar stools for casual meals or that evening margarita. The living and dining room combined create one large expanse of windows and sliding doors that overlook a long private terrace the length of the unit. There are two seating areas in the large L shaped living room. One of the sofas is a futon suitable sleeping for one person (or two small kids). The master bedroom has a stately four poster king bed, a flatscreen television, a large built-in closet crafted from local hardwoods and a stylish bath.

Because the condo has a king bed in the bedroom and a futon sofa bed in the living room, the unit is suitable for a maximum of 3 adults, or possibly 2 adults and 2 young children.

Love this place, in the middle of everything. Great views from the rooftop pool. Can't wait to go back next year, the owner was very helpful as well.

Response from the owner Our location is superb, and glad to know that you enjoyed the rooftop pool. It is a lovely spot! Regarding the light bulbs, there must have been a power surge or something right before your stay, I am very sorry about that. The bulbs will be, if not already, replaced. I know pillows are a personal thing since everybody has a different idea of what is comfortable, that is why we supply 4 pillows. With that said however we do replace our pillows periodically and it sounds like it is time to do that again. We try to keep two flat and two full pillows to suit everybody's taste. I'm sorry the bulb and pillow made your stay uncomfortable. I understand that the full occupancy Christmas week with families put a strain on the central hot water system which was later adjusted for the high occupancy. The unit had been vacant right before your stay and housekeeping is normally good about airing the unit out before a guest's arrival. Due to being at the beach it is important to air the place out with fresh air, I am very sorry it sounds like that did not happen. I will make sure that occurs consistently in the future. Usually opening the windows for a few hours does the trick. We have recently purchased an air purifier to help when guests don't open windows. We have had this condo now for 10 years and we have many repeat guests who come stay with us every year...some even more frequently. It sounds like we didn't meet your expectations, and I am sorry. In all of those years your review was the worst we have every received. :( The good news is that all of these things are easily fixed, I'm sorry you didn't reach out to me during your stay and I would have made sure these issues were remedied right away.
