Casa Fortuna is a four bedroom hacienda style home with 155 feet of beach front set on 1/2 acre of solitude in La Penita de Jaltemba. The beach is our front yard! Remodeled in 2006 the home is spacious and decorated with crafts from all over Mexico. Just a short walk from Rincon de Guayabitos, 20 minutes from Sayulita and 1 hour north of Puerto Vallarta the house is a convenient place to call home.

Casa Fortuna is an easy walk to the center of La Penita de Jaltemba, a colorful Mexican town where you will find restaurants, taco stands, grocery stores, meat and fish markets, shopping, kayak and bicycle rentals. Sit and watch the activities on the newly built Malecon/Beach boardwalk. The tianguis or community market, is held every Thursday morning in the town square where you can buy handicrafts from Mexico, jewelry, clothing, household goods, produce, seafood, and fresh bread and pastries. Walk or taxi a few miles down the beach to Rincon de Guayabitos, a busy resort town with party boats, whale watching tours, fishing, banana boats, jet skis, para sailing, horseback riding, beach front dining, and karaoke!

Float in your own private heated pool with fountains, surrounded by palm trees and a brick courtyard with lounge chairs for that suntan. Watch for migrating whales and sunsets from the wide covered verandas and swim in the calm waters of Jaltemba Bay.

After a great evening out, or a wonderful meal prepared at the house by Sandra and Rick, wind down on the veranda, with tea lights flickering around you, the moon shining through the palm trees above, and the music of the waves inviting you to sleep. This is paradise!

Casa Fortuna is perfect for friends and families to vacation together in total relaxation. Sandra and Rick, our English fluent caretakers live on site in a casita at the back of the property. They are wonderful cooks and can prepare traditional Mexican or American/Canadian style meals at the house for a very reasonable fee. Sandra can also arrange for poolside facials, manicures, pedicures, a relaxing massage or babysit for a relaxing night out without the kids. They can arrange a boat ride to Chacala for lunch, whale watching, a fishing trip on a local panga boat or a driver for an out of town adventure to see the crocodiles in San Blas, the petroglyph's in Alta Vista or maybe down the road to Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita, San Pancho or even Guadalajara.

Transportation to/from Puerto Vallarta airport can be arranged with licensed private taxi van

Our home is a short walk down the beach to town and shopping. For longer trips our caretakers can call you a taxi for a very reasonable fee. They can also arrange airport pick up and vans or taxi's for excursions to surrounding locations like Sayulita, San Pancho or San Blas.
