Description

Vacation under the Continental Divide. Enjoy the wonderful Summer Weather or the Winter's 'Best Snow in the Nation' from this totally serene, private hideaway. All mountain activities, e.g. hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, skiing, snowshoeing, and horseback riding are available. Visit the old mining towns of Gold Hill, Blackhawk or Central City. All the amenities of Boulder, e.g. dining, theater, shopping, music, are only 20 minutes away, and for emergency needs the mountain town of Nederland is only 8 minutes away. This home is a ski chalet style and is very comfortable with its large hot tub on the deck, and big fireplace in the living room. There is a baby grand piano, set of drums and guitar for the musically inclined. A carpeted tree hut will keep the kids busy. Wildlife include deer, elk, coyotes, turkeys, bobcats,and occasionally, bear, moose and mountain lion. A separate caretaker's unit which is not very apparent, is located on the lower level of the property. The caretaker is very respectful and unobtrusive young man but is available by phone, should any emergencies or other problems with the facilities arise.

Although not absolutely necessary, it is recommended in the winter months that you have a four wheel drive. This will take the worry out of any adverse weather conditions. Sugarloaf road is always maintained since it is a school bus route and the road from Sugarloaf to the house is plowed, and at worse one can normally drive a two wheel drive vehicle up to the driveway and walk up the driveway.

The rate is $360/night for up to six people. For each person over 6 add $25/nt. Up to two children age 5 and under are free. There is an additional $40/day charged for the holidays. Small special occasion 'events' may be held here during your stay, such as showers and weddings, parties if arranged with owner. Dogs are allowed in the outside runs with sheds for $15/nt/dog but are not allowed in the house. For more information regarding rates contact the owner.

Groups for short term rentals for parties are not allowed.
Small groups for special occasions like a wedding are considered.
Contact owner for details. Dogs are only allowed in the outside sheds and runs. Smoking is only allowed on the outside deck with the use of ashtrays. This is a high risk forest fire danger area and all precaution need to be taken. A fee will be charged for any cigarette butts found discarded on the ground.
